Why the public/media giving so much hype for a hundred? Sachin scored many, what is this one hundred so special for?!!! Dravid scored, Gambir scored, Ashwin picked five in pitch made for sachin batting. Not many talking about them. Come on India! There are many things in Cricket than a personal record. Test cricket and ODI are going to vanish in few years (already you see empty stadiumns in cricket crazy country). Then these personal records have no much fame.

It is once in a 100 years kind of milestone, like Don's almost 100 runs average. While Don missed out, the world wants SRT not to miss it. That is why the world is so eager.
It was indeed sad to see Sachin getting out once again in his nineties. But then one can't say he deliberately played that shot. The credit should indeed go to Sammy for his wonderful bowling spell. More so when he had announced in advance that he will try to stop Sachin getting his Ton against WI. and he has succeeded in his efforts. Well one just has to wait for yet another innings from Sachin for his Hundred'th ton.

I dont think anybody should give such an importance for Sachin's 100 - We have plenty of other serious issues to think about....It looks like, we are organizing these matches only for Sachin to make his 100th Century...what a pity.

YOU ARE CORRECT, NOW A DAYS TOTAL MEDIA IS CONCENTRATING FOR HIS 100 AND NOT INTERESTED FOR MACH WINNING OR OTHERS RECORD. LET HIM MAKE 100 AND GO AND ALL THE TEAM MATES WILL GET EQUAL IMPORTANCE FOR INDIAN TEAM.
It's high time for him to retire and give chance to youth........ there are many good players waiting for a chance...... Sachin is behind the record and he should stop such things...

yes, he must retire to get others young players to get a chance. if sachin is there no good player will get chance or importance. every six months he will make 100 and bcci will give a chance for record

mate, agree with u on the first part of ur comment. thr s much more to this game than sachin s 100.
however, i disagree with the second part of ur comment. sachin s drives and reflexes are as good as ever. just that his ability to control himself and tame himself down is an issue these days. @ 38, he s as good as a 25 year old. doubt his credentials can be questioned as much as u did.
the wall however is the wall indeed - insatiable appetite for runs and performance. hats off !

Why are we so much obsessed with Sachin scoring a 100. Is nothing there in Indian cricket than Sachin's 100. If he cant score a century against a 2nd rate West Indian team, when he will. Due to age the reflexes go down and I do not think he will ever score a century against a top team. Is there any test matches against Bangladesh or Zimbabwe? BCCI should arrange one quickly. Look at Rahul Dravid. He is "the wall" still.
