Each and everyone knows that the march was fixed. Adar knew the ball gonna slow down who bat second. All where shocked after winning the toss and decided to field 1st at Eden garden. Whatever kambli was saying was true semi final was fixed

by that logic WC 2003 final was also fixed when Ganguly chose to field against a team like Australia after winning the toss.

No..you can make out fixed matches..our 1996 semi final performance was against the run of play. I agree it was fixed. Azhar, Mongia and Jadeja were all part of that match too..very shameful.
FYI, i have been a fan of cricket for last 25 years. But now the game is declining badly. Fans are negligible for Test cricket and even in ODI series vs England, i saw stands being empty. West Indies declined long ago, now Australia has also declined. There is no dominating and exciting force in world cricket now. As it is only 10 countries play it regularly and out of that only 5 or 6 are really competing well. On top of all this, the match fixing allegations on and off and dosen't seem to leave cricket.
So just make it smooth for everyone - ban this game of cricket forever and focus on other sports like badminton, table tennis, shooting, lawn tennis, boxing, football etc.

fully agreed they should ban it for min 5 years at least. so that people of India should know what are other sports around. it seems no one knows nothing except cricket.
stop watching the stupid game.. all fixing will end.. its one day long, 3 sticks here and 3 sticks there. just one player of one team against 11 of others out of which 10 are watching ball boys.. actually its just a 2 man game

when you remember the run out of azaruddin it seems very very casual in world cup semi finals1996.other players game also were not found to be as not the world cup match.it was very shame to all

CBI burried the match fixing scandal because popularity of cricket and therefore big money was at stake if cricket loses viewership. Azar is a criminal. he fixed all matches in Sharjah and thats why india stopped playing. Stories of hostile crowd are rubbish. I have seen matches there and the fear of law is so high that you dare not abuse anyone. Hansie cronje had named azar as match fixer. Suspiciously Hansie died a few days later in a private plane crash. Azar had confessed during CBI questioning

just recall how azar would get out match after match. He used to give a loli-pop catch to mid-on fielder. And he would blame his wristy playing style. my foot
