Good Decision.
by santhanakrishnan krishnamoorthy on Nov 18, 2011 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni has taken a good decision. But it should not be only yuvi. Some more also can be taken out and chanches can be given to others. Yuvi is not a bad performer, he is a player who can change the match in any condition. Many matches have been won by the singe man that is yuvi. people should even think first before taking a decision seeing his performance in couple of matches.

How many innings Dhoni continuesly fialed in Test as well as one day matches. But that does not mean than he is bad. Sachin and Dravid had been under going prolonged bad phase in their career 3-4 years ago.

He played a vital role in our world cup win along with Dhoni. Our selectors forget things too fast.

Well if you compare the number of Maharashtrians ruling the cricket world or those Bedi's who played politics in Indian cricket... still people like Dada, Srikant, Laxman, Azhar survived. Understand, not many south Indians were allowed to play big roles in Indian cricket. If Gawaskar failed.. he was given 'n' number of chances. If Sachin failed, he was given very good support by selectors. When Dada failed in few matches, everyone was after his head.

Thanks that somebody like Dhoni is on the helm.. Otherwise the team would have been full of BCCI's chamchas.

india is going to win this series either by 2-0 or 3-0 so it was good time to show some confidence on yuvi as he was a senior player and would be a good bet for next aussie tour. If at all you want to do some changes to show that you are very proactive selection pannel of a very aggressive cricket board...jadeja would have been a better choice.

Boss, I agree we need to support senior players. But look at the facts: There are good number of senior players like Sachin, Rahul, Yuvraj, Bajji, Laxman, Zaheer.. and all. If all these people retire in a span of next 18 months, there will not be anybody with experience in the team and we will be like West Indies team or the recent Australians. We need to build young players and keep ourselves ready for tomorrow. Yuvi is good, but he has to play more Ranji matches to get his form. Rahul did that. Sachin did that and Ganguly did that.. when they went to bad paches. Let Yuvi do it. He still has cricket. But dont block other young players.

do you think players like pujara, manish pandey & badrinath are fit for future indian team...sorry, they r not. reality is none of these so called young blood is fit to face johnson or dale steyn. sachin made his century after playing more than 50 matches however in his those 49 odd matches he showed that he has capability and can fire at any time. i agree tht todays young blood has not got enough chance but whenever they got they played like a rat. Ajinkya rahane, Ashwin n ojha are exception. infact bcci must think of dropping bhajji for aus tour but then again it is not sure tht these two spinner will retain their form in aus so they have to book a tckt for bhaji as well. you can call it a defecsive approach but thats how it is.

You idiot. Chance was given to Uthappa recently in T20 where he failed miserably. Your Mithun is the worst bowler India has seen. A person who does not know how to dance said the hall is too small

Yuvraj
by Kamaraj Subramanian on Nov 18, 2011 11:16 AM

I think Yuvraj is one of the great player against 20 20 and One day matches. I dont want to disturb him in concentrating in Test matches that can be disturb his concentration, similarly we cannot think VVS can play 20 20. So my advice is keep yuvraj for 20 20 and One day without fail and give chance to kohli.

At first Yuvi must lose his weight by 10 Kg to be fit as a sportsman. His body is weighty (according to age).
