sharmaji ab aap ek test kheliye phir koi aur ayega. But nobody can match Saina Nehwal. She can play better shots and take better shots.
Thats what Yuvray is doing with her and has forgotten his shots because majority of shots are given to her rather than the opposition batsman

Aggreed. but Mukund and Stiwary are also not good for international level.

Yes right. Mukund, Pujara, Badri are quiet technically right. Potential to replace when Dravid calls it quit or even Tendy calls it quit. Rohit somehow got spoiled by this T20. I love his batting style. Always he reminds me of Sanjay Manjrekar. Somehow this T20 spoiled his compact technique.
anyway compared to Yuvraj, Raina, Virat, he can be a good bet to Try in Test. But selector shld start giving chance to Mukund, who has shown immense temperament in Test in WI.

I agree with you,Guys lets not forget,YUVI is the one who sailed us through world cup (bowling bating)and lets never forget 6 sixes were not by chance?but by choice....so cheer up guys ,,wait and watch he will bounce back..

Nobody is denying the fact that Yuvi is a fantastic batsman for ODIs but he has been unable to put in the right amount of focus when it comes to test cricket. A test match lasts for 5 days and a bowler has plenty of time to experiment. That is where patience for a batsman is absolutely crucial. Somehow, with all these focus on ODI and T20, yuvi seems to have lost it. Now with Pujara, Pandey and Kohli in the queue, it will be difficult for a him to regain a place in the final 11 for a test match. Seriously he should start focussing more on ODIs to gain a permanent place in the team.

We are talking abt tests, not ODIs or T20s,he is best for that formats not for tests. He is somebody like Michael Bevan, who is good for ODIs but never made into the test squad.Maybe ,selectors shud look for guys who have temperament to play the longer format and stop trying guys like Yuvi & Raina in tests ,else they will lose confidence in their ODI abilities also.
The Aussie series will tax the oldies in the Indian batting lineup. Umesh Yadav would be a cannon fodder for the aussies while our spinners(hope they take bajji to finish his career off) would find life difficult. Let Dhoni keep his mouth shut for now.

Remember ,this Aussie side is not same as the earlier ones when we toured. They are finding it difficult to handle the SA's pace bowling and got bundled out for 47 and lost the test.If Umesh Yadav & Varun Aaron get their line & length right with their pace they can be handful on the oz pitches.Remember, last time how Ishant tormented Ponting in particular with his pace.

It is sambar Srikkanth who initiated aggressive batting in opening slot for India. Remember, before you comment.

Gautam, viru, Ishanth are from Delhi. Dravid from karnataka, Tendu from Mumbai, VVS and Ojha from Hyd. Yuvi is from Punjab and guy who replaces him, Rohit is from Mumbai. Where is this talk of fitting Indian team with CSK players coming from? Only Ashwin and Dhoni are the CSK players. Who else buddy? Talk sense.

Yes u r right,Yuvraj,Raina and Virat are not test players,so Sharma is right choice.
Re: Re: but why rohit sharma
by jagan vasan on Nov 19, 2011 06:28 AM
He has not performed against aussie or england attack .......... he scored 2 centuries against some hopeless attack in indian ground which is not a criteria for selection.
Cricketers are doing a full time job, so some time they perform some time they did not perform. In a big country like india there is no chance for any wicket keeper to play for 20 years as Mr. Dhoni is there, he play all three format of the game. Wicket keepers need to keep their finger cross for another 10-12 years.
