yuvraj, harbajan may have been dropped for betting allegation
by ganapathy srinivasan on Nov 18, 2011 09:04 AM  | Hide replies

remember there was a allegation by a bookie recently that yuvraj and harbajan are also involved in betting allegations. that many not noticed. BCCI propably want to deal it secretly hence swept the issue under the carpet and silently dropping them. Similar thing was earlier done by Cricket Australia when they secretly levied fine on shane wharne and mark waugh for similar allegation without making it public.

kohli no where fits to test matches
by vishnu mittal on Nov 18, 2011 08:41 AM

kohli is no where near a fit for test matche, he is not having any patience to stay at screase, check so far he played some innings in test with highest 30, and still morons asking for the moron kohli.

he is good in ODIS and very good at that but not for test.

best fit for test pujara/rahane/rohitsharma/badri that's it dont

dont waste time looking for other bulshts and waste these guys opportunities.

NITIN RAJ
excellent selection
by NITIN RAJ on Nov 18, 2011 06:28 AM  | Hide replies

Rohit sharma should have been considered in the Test matches during the tour of windies ahead of Virat Kohli. Rohit is very sound batsman and has the temperament to fill in for test cricket. Virat needs to improve and Raina needs to work on this tecnhique and also mentally. we can say that the future test team look likes follows.

1)sehwag
2)gambhir
3)rohit sharma
4)virat kohli
5)suresh raina
6)yuvraj singh ( dont write him off )
7)ms dhoni
8)zaheer
9)ashwin
10)Ojha
11)Ishant
12)Umesh yadav
13)Varun aaron
14)Cheteshwar pujara
15)Rahul sharma

ALL THE BEST
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Nov 18, 2011 06:23 AM

Selectors are best judges. My personal view Virat was a better choice .Playing inranji and at test level are two different things . All the same very best of luck to Rohit Sharma.

Very Very Good Decision
by Mature Stud on Nov 18, 2011 05:30 AM

About the time Yuvraj get axed from Test.. Selector should save him for limited overs game. Test cricket is not for him and same applies to Raina..

Ishant - when he will learn the art of pitching in good lengths
by cc man on Nov 18, 2011 03:33 AM

Ishant bowling is so pathetic, straying, one dimensional,no seam pitching and never pitches in good length areas. Either pitches short, full or straying outside good length area. Considering the fact that he possess excellent physqiue, bowling action, pace etc, its time for him to know the art of pitching in good length area which is just around center of good length area of pitch map.

Rohit is better suited for the #6 spot
by Nikhil Shah on Nov 18, 2011 03:16 AM

With Rahane as a top order option the middle order #6 Test spot had to belong to Rohit Sharma.
Even though he had superior technique he cannot be taken seriously unless he scores runs in the domestic FC scene. An average of 63.51 and climbing he has finally shown the proper skills to make his Test debut.

Rahane can play the ODI and also backup the Test spot since Sehwag and Gambhir can injure themselves and Dravid may retire soon.

Overall, India's pace battery is quite formidable : Zaheer, Ishant, Sreesanth, Yadav and Aaron. With Zaheer having 2-3 left in him
Sreesanth is still in the reckoning in the pace attack in Tests.

Flat indian pitches? Same team

Flat/Spin pitches? replace Umesh/Aoron with one leg spinner(still rahul sharma need to prove himself), other choice Ojha.

fast/swing pitches? then replace Jadeja with P.Kumar

fast/bounce pitches? then replace Jadeja with Ishant

Do you need more allrounders in the team to give rest to main four bowlers.

Did you consider also bringing in Yusuf Pathan to add to Ravindra Jadeja? Yusuf Pathan and Ravidra Jadeja can bowl in tandem while the four bowlers can stand close to the boundary line, drink water and take some rest?
