Humble Request
by madhan kumar on May 31, 2011 06:12 PM  | Hide replies

Plz don't compare Football with Cricket,

Everybody can play Cricket like Ranathunga, Ramesh Powar etc but very talented & fit people only play Football.

That comparing with EPL and IPL is non-sense. IPL is just a kid and EPL is diff. IPL begging and could created only 10 teams with whole available players. But EPL having 3division with 20teams each.....

Stop this non-sense

Only Tamilians appreciate and/or like Srinivasan. In fact, not only Srinivasan, they like all of TN leaders. For example, Tamilians were stil supporting A.Raja when the rest of the nation already realized his involvement in 2G scam. Where is A. Raja now? People from TN have to introspect.

Remember CSK Dhoni has lost 5 out of 9 matches on non Chennai venue.
That too out of remaining 2 were washed out by rain.

From ages we are spinning out opposition at Chepauk
From ages we are calling opposition at Chepauk chennai.

You are pretending to sleep so can't be woke up.
You don't seem to analyse facts. You probably are not able to accept the dominance of a team (may be a south team or may be a team that you don't support).
Just look at facts...Final venue was decided before start of IPL-4. RCB was crushed in Mumbai in semi-1 and plenty more that people have cried a lot enough in this forum. So grow up or keep crying.

CSK can be compared only in IPL format. You can't compare CSK internationally with other teams which are made of only national players. In fact some of these teams might have lost their core players to CSK (or IPL) so there is no comparison. Learn to compare Apples with Apples!

Had Mumbai won the title consecutive for two times.. and had Mumbai crossed Semi-stage four times. and after all these, if the same author had compared ManU with Mumbai Indians, every body would have accepted and appreciated..
I always believe that South and Chennai in particular gets step-mother treatment.

1. SRT in team - only indudival player - 0 team player...
2. Ambani owning the team
3. Marathi's typical attitude.. they cant survive and will not let others to survive...

IPL Champs always dont get better team to play
by sakthi on May 31, 2011 03:32 PM  | Hide replies

Mumbai, Banglore, Kolkatta, Rajastan,Punjab all old sick teams, Dont have enough power to play with Chennai. Its always boring to see these team losing to chennai. IPL should have atleast 2-3 strong teams to contest with chennai. I believe Champions leagues will have few good team this year like South wales blue, red backs, warriors,T&T. And make interesting match not like boring IPL all team losing to chennai.

So Dumb Bikash!!
by RC on May 31, 2011 01:52 PM  | Hide replies

This is a dumb article. Guess Mr. Bikash had nothing better to do and was under pressure from his owners for an article so he came up with this. Comparing Man Utd and CSK??? God I cannot believe he came up with this idea. He himself knows it is premature to go into this discussion & so cleverly blames on attitude of Indians to compare. I just hope you write something better next time around Mr. Bikash!! I just hope Sir Alex does not read this article-- he will die laughing.

Bikas Mohapatra has given his perspective. It may be far fetched as there are many compelling differences including the game itself! It is just a perspective; take it or leave it!
I also find some cricket fans alluding to IPL IV matches being fixed since CSK has retained the crown for the second time. Request them to comment: If RCB or MI or any other team had won, would they make the same allegations?

how ridiculous
by Franklin on May 31, 2011 01:33 PM

This is a ridiculous article comparing CSK to Man United. CSK are nothing compared to Man United. The author cleverly mentions that we like to compare and so could bring in a comparison. But the analogy he brings to the various cases are so ridiculous we must first reprimand rediff for allowing an article to be published. As a United fan this one article makes me hate CSK even more (I already hate them to the core as I consider them local rivals of my team DC)
