I have to admit that the author of this article is out of his mind...does he even know anything about the history of english football and manchester united ,,,all he has done is compare this year's epl statistics to ipl's statistics in terms of home record and title wins.....crap CSK will have to win 10 ipl's in the next 15 years to even stand a chance of being compared to the Epl's Manchester United!!!!

He clearly knows the values of the EPL and it's rich history and heritage. That's why he has mentioned that the IPL has been derived and not inspired. What he has tried to do is, pick up a few instances of the just completed premiership season and has mapped them to a few happenings with the IPL. I don't see anything wrong here, C'mon guys, get the crux of it!!

And man, Thank God he did not compare even more crap teams like RCB, MI and KKR to any EPL teams! That would have made even my pet doggy Ricky to LOL... hahaha

If RCB, MI and KKR are crap teams then CSK is nothing but "a one-eyed king amongst blind men (andhon mein kana raja)". This is not an achievement then. Sorry "C W"! You have to now eat your own words. And I have the last laugh..... LOL.......HA HA HA HA

Only Tamilians appreciate and/or like Srinivasan. In fact, not only Srinivasan, they like all of TN leaders. For example, Tamilians were stil supporting A.Raja when the rest of the nation already realized his involvement in 2G scam. Where is A. Raja now? Are people from TN slow learners or they back their leaders blindly? They must introspect.
ipl vs icl when icl was banned by icc, it was alleged that icl is promoting players to boycott national duty to play in league; that there was clash of intnl events etc.
now whats happening with IPL. same players r boycotting their country (gayle, malinga etc,), plkayers r playing ipl but skiping national duties on medical grounds (gambhir, sachin, dhoni, sehwag).

cos ICC is BCCI and BCCI is ICC....now everything is controlled by BCCI bosses....otherwise IPL would have been suppressed by now....

I am sick and tired of all people complaining about IPL...Here are some points for you all to read. 1. IPL concept is new to India where cricket competition was looked up at the national level. It obviously will be time before this sets in place. 2. We were tied to players and one Indian team, now you have your home team but not with your players so it is tough to accept a team. 3. The league games should be in the home ground of one of the teams playing so that you can generate crowd. So you will be dealing with home field advantage(in NFL in U.S.A teams die to get home field advantage) in terms of playing conditions, pitch may be and crowd, you can't avoid that. 4. Today there are only 10 teams so for balance there are lot of games. As IPL grows there will be 10 more teams then we can have zones, east, west, south, north. top 2 from each zone can play quarter finals and then semi and finals. This will be a bit quicker and more interesting. 5. IPL concept is new and it will take time to adjust so don't judge it too quick and don't start complaining too soon just because your team is not doing well. IPL can be a key to the local economy. Just hang in there it will get better, or don't watch it at all. No body begged any body to watch the games. The people's interest will decide if IPL will stay or not. There is no need to get agitated about this.
All pitch, venue, format and toss complainers...just explain CSK dominating in Champions league T20 2010 in South Africa. I need clear reasons. Note: be mature enough to not say luck.

There won't be any valid replies to this statement of yours from the senseless m0r0nic frustrated critics even if you wait for months.

True no replies...I have asked that again in a separate post. I've added 08, 09, 10 IPL also. If they cannot then what ever they say about this IPL is all purely out of jealousy only. Pretty sure there will be some other group shouting if RCB or MI or some one else is dominating. So I doubt if we can stop the crazy talk anyway..
Everybody can play Cricket like Ranathunga, Ramesh Powar etc but very talented & fit people only play Football.
That comparing with EPL and IPL is non-sense. IPL is just a kid and EPL is diff. IPL begging and could created only 10 teams with whole available players. But EPL having 3division with 20teams each.....

Cricket is a small sport followed by few countries. So that its a underdog and always compared with Leaders. There is nothing wrong to compare.

As you mention very talented & fit people only play Football. So it may restrict some people from playing that sport. But cricket is for all people as you mention again Ranathunga, Ramesh Powar like people can play, thats universal!! Thats Great !! That funs !!
