Why this list does not contain the names of vinoo mankad, the best allrounder of India, ever produced, vijay merchant, the evergreen batsman, vijay manjrekar, the dashing and fearless batsman?
This was the best time even though late than others.Salim was the stylist left hander with the spin etc.I have seen salim at Chepauk in Chennai.They should have a world eleven for him.I salute Salim eternately.kenneth(USA)
He was one of the most stylish bowler & batsman of his era.He was a great entertainer in otherwise a team of dour batsman.He had his problem of poor fielding & indiscipline which led to Patudi curtailing his career.
More such sportsman may be identified & rewarded because that time tounament/matches were less so our sports persons were not finacially well off .They have als contributed thier life time for the nation.Our sports minisry & BCCI is ruch enough to finacially help the deserving sports persons of the past.
