BUTTS UP
by Nanda PK on May 27, 2011 08:28 AM

Butts up for England, they bragged like this before world cup also. Maybe Botham will suggest next that India won the world cup because it was held in India - forgetting that England never wonit even when it was held in England.

Looks like English have got bragging rights after Ashes win....

Of the 7 victories he talks about, 2 are against Bangladesh and one against WI in England. He is intelligent to exclude the series loss against WI in WI few months prior to the first of the 7 series.
For Inida, they currently have an unbeaten streak of 10 series (with 6 wins and 4 draws) with one against Bangladesh in Bangladesh.
Even though India have not won series/ matches with huge margins, it is still important to note that they have a better record. Mr.Botham, don't be surprised if India defeat Englad by a 2-1 or even 1-0 margin.

:) of course we do as India has proved by staying on top for 2 years. England are still way below the mark. Still they are behaving as though they are the best. Don't mind if the call themselves best. but when you start pulling down others without statistical support, that is foolish...

Team composition

Whatever players go to England the most crucial and a must would be VVS Laxman. No one plays better than Laxman on fast bouncy tracks. It would be a treat to watch him play and negotiate the swing in those conditions. VVS ....the special one.

Check the Records sir Iam Botham
by ganesh on May 26, 2011 02:29 PM

Please check the records and give these interviews being a best cricketer you should not lie to the world. Last time when India toured England under the captain ship of Dravid thy won the series. When they go to Australia they level the series, in sri lanka they won the series in South africa they levelled the series, new Zealand they won, in WI they won and against other teams also they won, So what more you need from India, a Whitewash series against you, then you have to wait till the winter session.
