is England's Srikkanth. These old cricketers by opening their dirty mouths prove to every one else that how immature they are. Boasting about their own teams up to a level is OK but talking rubbish about other teams ridiculing them shows how cheap the are. Better ignore these people and play good cricket.
It has to be accepted that India are the most disputed no. 1. Nobody from the cricketing world seem to be liking it. England at home are a tough side. Regarding English being the best side in the world, Gavaskar is the best person to to answer on this. Sure, he would have something sharp to say on this.
just shut up botham....we all know you english people are big mouth. Just winning a series in australia and he is thinking they are world champions. what about the last time you beat india in india. Dont forget we wont the last series in india and also in england 2007. You are nowhere in one day cricket. We are world champions and winning consistently. Absolutely idiotic statements. I think the best team for world supremacy after australia and west indies is India.
Mr. Botham, India has already beaten England en-ruote to achieving numero uno status in tests in last 3-4 years, so I dont agree to what you say!!! Perhaps you are feeling bad that England has not achieved anything other than an Ashes victory for last few years....
I do endorse Mr.Botham's comments.India has been playing too much of One day matches,T20 for the last 1 year and surprisingly great test players like Sachin,Dravid and even Laxman is involved. It becomes very difficult for them to adjust their game for longer version of the game. Also Gambir and Shewag is out due to injuries and I would say that t will be very difficut to beat Englad at theie back yard
As a ex England player he is supporting the English team, still England cannot compete with Indian team if we select a proper team for England tour. Crucial members will be SRT, Rahul and Sehwag. Along with Zaheer, Ishanth and Sreessanth in bowlimg attack. Than there are Gambhir, Yuvraj, Raina and Kohli (still not in test team though). Still have adoubt on Yuvraj and Raina's ability to sustain the pressure of playing in tests in England, also same for Badrinath. We should opt for the players like Manoj Tiwary and Virat Kohli who looks good in technique and able to handle the swinging condition in England.

Virat kohli looks a class act simply going by his consistency, be it ODI or the t-20 format and should be in the test squad.

The best part about virat is that he never gets bogged down and keeps the score board ticking without any rash shots.

KC:
Did he never predict India as favourite, or did he predict India will NOT be favourites? Coz there is a distinct difference between the two.
For example you never said Ravi Shastri is a better predictor than Botham in your message, nor did you comment on Srikkanth's claims about our team's bench strength. Does that mean your view is that Srikkanth is wrong? :)
