It is the lure of money above anything else. National Pride, Patriotism etc are nice words and ignites a sense of emotion. However reality is wealth making enjoys better priority over national duty. What a pity indeed and to think that these players are role models to youngsters.
Why don't we recognize our soldiers who guard us and fight for us . They truly work for the nation. If only the ad companies give our soldiers endorsements.

Gambhir is the most reliable player in the indian team. He is a hard working guy, who plays with commitment even if he not in good touch

Do u kw abt whom ur taking? He has served India for past 22 years. For your kind information sachin does not play int'l T20 cricket because he will not play for india for long time & he wants youngesters to have a chance who are going to be the future indian cricketer. But that doesn't mean he can't play. As a player and individual he would also have like to be part of this T20 format. So when IPL gives him this opportunity why shuldn't he play. This is the only time when he gets to play this format. That also with the role of a captain which he can't in national side. So why not. He has every right to enjoy is life. Plus he is playing for Mumbai, the city which gave him everything. So when he gets a chance to give back something to his beloved through the means of cricket. Why shuldn't be. Lots of youngester gets valubale knowlege from the master in the team & get to learn a lot.

gambhir is now blaming KKR, saying that he was not told about the gravity of his injury. who will believe him? gauti,you cannot fool all cricket fans, why dont you say that it was your greed for money that forced you to play all KKR matches. steve waugh had said way back in 2009 that IPL will destroy cricket as players will put money(IPL)before country. it has happened malinga,pollard,gayle,bravo have put club before country.similary now gambhir,sehwag,sachin,dhoni, & zaheer have opted out of the WI tour.

Every one can see that in all the 4yrs of IPL no Indian Player was unfit. But as the IPL gets over, before n after major players decleared unfit or opted for rest for 1-2 months....Simple funda....(12months @ 3-5crores for country) & (2months @ 3-5crores in IPL) n further selectors select hopeless player in replacement...Its not the fault of IPL...Its just money game...

First cricketers should be blamed, are they donot know, their injury will be a set back for nation's pride continuing playing with injury in IPL?.When gautam is selected for WI tour, why he did not revealed his injury well before? (A right fact is i think, gambhir, BCCI, KKR all know about his injury, its all show and well scripted saga that he got selected for WI tour, and before Qualifier match gambhir says i just waiting for the injury report etc., and BCCI says we do not that fact. How BCCI can say like that, without taking fitness certificate y they considered him for WI tour despite they know our players are continuously playing for the last 5 months) First blamed should be BCCI, not for organising IPL, but not monitoring the players who may hiding the injuries and playing for what ever the pressure. Second, BCCI , they should strictly monitor the franchise and players, their fitness and upcoming schedule etc., As per BCCI, the objective of IPL is digging out and providing opportunity for upcoming players to prove them selves to get selected for national team. Hence Existing contract players of national team should be exempted from IPL and only others players who lost the place or contract of BCCI for national team should be allowed with young new talented players. And foreign players policy should be continued so that our cricketers will be mentored and learn from those senior talented players. Most of the senior r not ready for WI tour but available for IPL?
