NICE JOKE
by madanmohan siddhanthi on May 14, 2011 05:47 AM  | Hide replies

Vriddhiman Shah what has been his reliability ? Even Rohit what is his reliaability ? Why give excuses to politics ?The bane of Indian sports is its politics and people with unscruples as administrators. We know about Hyderabad Cricket and its administration - perhaps the worst - no one heard further on Moinduddin Daula Cup and robbing of Gold? We need to kick out lot of these guys to real become a great sporting nation.

Until sivlal lives, Rayudu will not selected to India Team. He never accepts any andhra or hyderabad player to selected before his son Arjun yadav.

Agreed, agreed, agreed. That giant sleezball, Shivlal, is solely responsible for Rayudu's exclusion.

Andhra Players not given Chance.
by Rajesh on May 14, 2011 02:43 AM  | Hide replies

Its a fact that Some Chennai Lobby was foul playing with selection from the decades... The Andhra Players are talented like Laxman, Rayudu etc are not utilized even they are with gud performance in the seasons.. They were being sacked unnecessary example laxman while they are in form...
Every one know that Chennai Lobby and Mumbai lobby is foul playing with Talents and giving chances to Players who are being recommended by big brainless selectors...

I heared a lot about Mumbai lobby..
Does is exists? How many Mumbai players are in the Indian team? It is a fact that players from Mumbai plays for other teams to increase their chance to make it in to Indian team Examples: Zaheer, Praveen Amre, Rohan Gavaskar etc.

Rayudu has been near selection since ages and still cannot enter. He has a better first class pedigree than rohit Sharma and saha etc. saha came in as the bengali mafia wants its quota. no merit, just quota please.

so you are saying badrinath doesn't deserve to have been selected ? well , i take it that way since he is from chennai. if a person , having scored 922 runs in 9 ranji games with an average of 131 doesn't 'deserve' to be selected , then no one would see a point in performing in ranji trophy matches!. as for saha , whenever the indian team has toured overseas the practice has been to take 2 wicket keepers (specialists). here we have parthiv and saha!
so wtf is your problem ?

Yesterday itself that this was a foregone conclusion.

Sambar Srikanth & other marathi/bong regionalists showed their Typical regional fanaticism here.

Its sad but Rayudu wont be selected unless he was "Rayappa" or "Rane".

The man quit playing for Andhra and is playing for Baroda, hoping that people give him a fair chance..

Covering up their regional prejudices under the garb of laughable pretexts like - Rohit sharma is more "consistent" than Rayudu and that douche wriddiman saha who cant play either pace or spin and is a sub-par wickie, is better cricketer than him - can only work with regional chavs.

Good luck.. this time I wont cheer for India.. rather the Sambar/marathi/bong regionalists who run the cricket fraternity now.

come on. THis sambar srikanth and his team selected the worldcup winning team. SO give him a break.

BTW, you cannot pick a player just by his one ranji season and one IPL performance. Badri and Rohit are in the line and most deserving than Rayudu or Manoj tiwary or Uthappa. Very very sane selection. Looks like you are tooo addicted to this LONG IPL season.

I guess uthappa has had his time in the Indian team followed by a string of failures. Just because he smacked the ball around in the last edition of IPL it doesn't translate into doing the same playing intl games for India. Afterall , what has uthappa done in this IPL apart from being a show pony ?

You can only replace a middle order bat with another middle order bat. with raina , rohit, pathan , yuvraj and badri the top and middle order is complete.
Perfect selection , if you ask any person with some cricketing experience. Others will continue to yap.

What crap? The only reason I pointed "RAJA" because Margam got "universities" in context which was totally unwarranted. My post was just a tit for tat...Like "Indian" pointed above, you can find mistakes with any sect. Dont go and start pointing out some random things here. Just talk on the article why exclusion/inclusion of some one is good or bad. Reading your post, I can't stop naming few more from your sect... Kanimozhi, Karunanidhi, JJ, Balu ..

we always find fault in selection
by Mahesh Margam on May 13, 2011 08:51 PM  | Hide replies

people keep cursing every decision the selection comittee makes... there is only so much of a slot where you can select a new player... they complain when someone is selected... and in the next series complain that the previously mentioned player was not selected as somebody in the team performed poorly...

rayadu has to prove himself worthy in the ranjis before he has to be picked... he might be good in ipl but that alone is not enough to secure him a place in odis and tests... there is a big difference playing 7/8 overs in t20 vs playing 30/40 overs in odi... we know how people picked just from a series or recommendations flop after the international apprearence...

kholi should not be the skipper as he is not a cool head... that is pretty much evident in the ipl matches where he starts cursing when a rbc wicket falls or when the ball is punished by a opponent batsmen... that's not what a smart captain will do... he is too young now and he needs to mature as a crickter before he can be given the captiancy...

you can agree or disagree... just my 2 cents...

you r a moron.. did Sachin tendulkar have to prove himself in RANJI before getting a chance to play for team India ?

How can there be another Sachin if we dont appreciate talent and cast it aside, to appease regional chauvinists ??

there is always a platform to prove and those consistently at the top have proven at that level....

based on ur style of selection u might have 1 day/series wonders not consistent performers...

grow up moron and get a life... don't sulk that some crap guy from ur state didn't get a chance...

Ohh man. come one why soo much harsh words. If you think rationally, Badri and Rohit deserves better than Manoj tiwari or robin uthappa or rayudu. They will get their due. Look at Badri and Rohit average in last year Ranji. They were awesome. It was more like domestic VVS laxmanique.

Rayudu's non-inclusion
by Ravi Kiran on May 13, 2011 07:49 PM  | Hide replies

This Srikanth and his selection team has goofed up again. What the hell Saha has to do in the team. He hardly played and performed in the IPL. I think the reeson for his selection is he is from the Chennai Super kings team. The members in the CSK team are getting priority because it is owned by the BCCI Secretary / would be president and its mentor is Srikanth. By the way, when the term of SRIKANT ends as chairman of Selection committee ? We should have a fair selection of team.

people who have been selected have done exceedingly well in domestic cricket. rayudu has done well , but badrinath and rohit have done better!.... even if rayudu was selected over saha , he wouldn't play a single game for the simple reason that he cannot fit into the middle order nor has he kept wickets in a 50 over game. when you tour overseas , the practice is to travel with 2 specialist wicket keepers. before it was dhoni and dinesh karthik and now we see parthiv and saha!. so if u still question this selection , it only reflects on your little knowledge about the game.
