now that the real world cup has started, whast is the need of resting players? just 3 more matches after tomorrow.. and players want to rest to test bench strength is ridiculous, they play every game in IPL

It is better we LOSE with WI....and just play it as practice match.
if we WIN today with WI then INDIA will have to play Australia in QF which is bad for us...and good for Pakistan as they will play WI a Weak team considering pakistans good bowling.
While if we LOSE we will play Srilanka in QF while Pakistan will Play England. ENGLAND is always tough opponent to Pakistan compared to WI while Srilanka is better option for us in Quarter Finals than Australia.
REMEMBER PAKISTANs LOSS in World CUP is as good as a WINING mini World CUP HEHEHEEEE our useless DHOBII team can win only if matches are fixed or opponent plays poorly.

If you want to be world champion there is no easy way; Play whoever comes; keeping this mentality makes you looser; If it would have been Bangladesh team then probably I would have consider your point but this is India the current ODI no. 2 and Test no. 1 team; Secondly its better to play out Australia in the Quater final stage rather then playing them in Final; and playing in Ahmedabad is better as spin works there.

moron if v beat ausi then v wil meet pak or win in semi...tat is much better
there is high probability that Indian team can return to form and win the coming matches..hope for the best..who knows Ashwin might been Dhoni's Brahmastra for the key matches

LOL..so if Ashwin doesnt play well, then Dhoni was great in not playing him. If Ashwin shines, then Dhoni was great in hiding him and using him like a Brahmashtra.

India will play their QF game at their Home venue (in this case Ahmedabad) whosoever their opponent is as per Tournament rules.
