Batting is our strength. If India could not get basics right and bat 50 overs, I have started believing India is not going to win.
Against England, we were doing well until 45 over losing only 3 wickets and then got all out. That idiot Munaf could not ground his bat and ran for 2 runs without adding a run to the score.
Against SA, we were doing well until 38 overs losing only 1 wicket and then we lost it from there. Losing big guns for just 29 runs is too much.
In the end, not able to bat for 50 overs is a sin, and if India commits these sins, India does not deserve to win.

Anyone criticizes Sachin, the greatest batsman ever, is a moron.
You give one example and you think that's the rule.
Generally, 15 to 40 overs is where teams consolidate their innings and set the stage for a blast in the last 10 overs.

I am a follower of Cricket and not Sachin. But on ur comment, Sachin's decision of taking the power play was right to me at that point and if at all our eager yougster Gambhir was able to get a few runs faster than he actually scored, then Sachin would have been there with few more runs for the team but what happened is due to the slow pace of gambhir's innings, Sachin, who had batted for 39 overs had to take the risk and hit that shot to get out and after that no one could time the ball as Sachin and Sehwag did. Now to blame that batsmen did not bat for the nation but did for the gallery, then what role is Dhoni playing in the team. Just a captain and a wicket keeper..? Why is he not taking the blame of not scoring..when the No. 7 and 8 are there on the other end, Dhoni was happy taking singles and giving the strike to them..then why is he batting at No. 6 and 7. he could well come 11th man on the field to bat

u joker u have half baked knowledge and stop blaming Sachin. How can u say Sachin is responsible for the collapse ? When he got out India were 267 - for 2 in 40 odd overs.. and he played superbly for his 111.

How many times have you seen teams taking batting power play before 30 overs?
Well, he did hit like that even before he scored a century and the balls were in the crowd.

See,cricket is not a game which can be taught like a class book text.Dhoni need not make such comments. The players attitude was good and we have to keep it going. There has been too much talk on that loss to south africa and there is no need for that. Petersen striked one four and six in last over and did anyone taught him to do that??????Its a game of chances and the brave wins.....we have to continue trying and in a positive way.Dont waste thoughts on such things and move on with same attitude of hitting ball out of boundary.thats the only chance we have to win and not any advices can help.
