Bangladesh current point 4 and winning and next two matches will take them to 8
England current 5 points , win against WI with huge margin will take them to 7 points
Saf current 4 points and in next 3 games win two and loose one against Bangladesh which will make them at 8 points
WI current 6 points and a win aagainst India will make them to 8
The net run rate difference betwwn India and England are just .8 and loosing two matches by India and huge win by England will make England ahead of India

There are 10 if's (I counted) in above scenario. If one "if" goes out of place (1 out of 10), India makes it to QFs. Now you know why India is in QFs (and Dhoni so confident). India is in a fortunate situation and should try all their options in next 2 matches (and also keeping an eye on winning the next two matches)

Ranking System of ICC say that India’s ranking is 2nd. But it should be 1st from bottom. West Indies can bowled out Bangladesh team to 58 runs even their bowling attack is very weak but Indian team cannot bowled out weak teams like Ireland, Canada, Zimbabwe, Netherlands Kenya less than 200 runs.

India has won all their matches comfortably (except for 1 tie), its just that our expectations are so high that a 5 wicket or 60-70 run win doesnt seem enough. India is no.2 nd deservingly so :) Enjoy the upcoming game today

Sree's turn will come only when India play in a knock out match against a good team!! Till then, Dhoni has Nehra, etc. etc. to experiment!!! When they fail, he will call Sree!
Whenever, Sree played against SA, the Indian team has won, 95% of the time!!! Let us see how Nehra is doing in this match! I am sure after he bowls 5 overs, he will be transported in a stretcher and given bed rest!
For me the biggest disaster for india is dhoni himself, his captiancy. There should be no politics while picking the team to represent your country. The deserving players should play. How can he carry somebody like harbhajan with him? Does he care, whether india wins or not? harbhajan has been a non performer for india for so many years now. He was dropped from indian team after 2007 wc. Then he got picked again from nowhere. This is his third world cup and there has not been a single match in all these wc's, where he has put in a noteworthy performance. Still he is being made out as a world class spinner. How can he called a spinner, when he doesnt even spin a ball these days? I would say without any doubt that ashwin and pragyan ojha should have been the two spinners, playing for india in this wc. Ojha should play irrespective of whether yuvraj plays or not since both are left arm spinners. The logic is simple, that it should be the best XI that should play rather than going for variety and ends up loosing the match as the variety brought in is easily targeted by the opposition batsmen. There has been a lot of politics going on which is evident even for a layman. And that one line from dhoni before the world cup sums up his attitude that he doesnt think that the wc is the end of the world. Yes, he may be right in his own case.There are ipl's and champions league T20's coming up, which could be more important for him than representing his country.

Dear SundaraRajan - u r wrong! this is the best team India could have picked. It is easy to say Ojha or Uthappa would have performed but there is no proof about it. Harbhajan did extremely well in the last series - it is true that here he is not doing his best. Aswin definitely deserves a chance to play but that does not mean either Bhajji or Piyush are non-deserving. The captaincy is a problem but again there is no proof that xxx would have been a better captain. This is the best team for the WC period - it is just that they are not performing to potential.

No one knows the role of Ashwin. He is keep on getting chances for last 2 years and all the time reserved for bench only. I believe he should get a guiness record as a long serving bench player. Because of Ashwin, Dhoni is short handed by one bowler. Dhoni is not interested in going with Ashwin. With Ashwin, opponents can score easily 400 plus. Everyone knows Ashwin got selected because he is from Tamil Nadu. The reason why india is losing is because of this regional selectin only. I agree even Piyush chawla selection is not good. Instead of Chawla, selectors should have opted for Ohja.

reddy bhai. Only one player from TN that also not in playing eleven. While 9 out of playing eleven is always northy in ODI/T-20 since politician dhobi is captain. Thats the reason we are not consistent in T-20/ODI in last 2 yrs. It is clear while srikanth is very neutral & politician dhobi is very regional & biased. Even player like laxman out from ODI courtsey dhobi politics otherwise every one know laxman is far superior to all dhobi northy chamcha batsman raina/kohli etc agaisnt team like Aus/SA etc.

Ashish - I agree with your comments. What I am saying is selection should be based on merit and not based on regional feelings. I agree that Chawla, M patel and Kohli don;t deserve selection. There are players far better than these players. I do agree that Dhoni is playing too much politics like supporting jadeja etc. Since Srikanth is Chairman, I thought he can do some clean up. But unfortunately he is supporting regional feelings.

Pls follow the matches Aswin has played. He has performed well in domestic competitions like IPL and Champions league and thats y he is selected. Don't look at the record, selection has been made on current form of players. Laxman defnitely not good now for ODI.
Pls do not write rubbish like Tamil or Andra. Looks like you are more regional since you mentioned to select Ojha. Come on pls grow up India

Everyone seems to agree that Ojha should have been selected in place of one of the other spinners. Laxman is too old for ODIs now, but he should have continued a little longer...

As per Dhoni "Ashwin is mentally strong and can come in and perform any time" So Dhoni's task is now to mentally demoralise by selecting Chawla repeatedly and once Ashwin becomes a mental, he would be in playing 11. Ha Ha.

Can't that moron tolerate even one player from TN in the team while many are being ignored by the chairman of senior selection committee only for the sake of being called unbiased? Let this reddy moron go to cricinfo and see the stats of Badri and Mukund (apart from seeing that of Ashwin) and find answers himself if only he has any sense and cricketing knowledge. While guys who have done far less have got numerous chances, players from TN are consistently being ignored. Let Mr. Moron reddy also recollect Vijay and Ashwin only won the golden bat and ball respectively in IPL T20, the biggest test of nerves. What's the point in defending Bhajji our off spinning legend (as Doni does) when he can't even get one or two wickets consistently and keeping the generous Chawla in good MENTAL state ignoring Ashwin? Come out of your regional attachments mr. reddy, the moron....
