if bcci feels icc repesentative should not be making a comment during the world cup as it would put pressure on the indian captain ,that the indian captain first put forth his reservations against the udrs was also a fault of the icc? i guess. come on bcci stop showing your muscle power in wrong areas , encourage the new technology as our ex captain kumble mentioned. with hot shot and snickometer the udrs will be a hit. its a different matter half our spinners will not get their lbws.
No technology is foolproof... not even humans. So why is dhoni making all the fuss regarding UDRS. May be becoz india lost to england (that tie is actually a loss). It wud be better if dhoni and BCCI focus on cricket. Team India shud focus on their weak points (bowling and fielding) if they have to win the world cup.
Technology like UDRS will be inevitable in future. All major sports like soccer & tennis rely on TV techs to assess the accuracy of an umpire's decision. It helps umpiring to be more precise & fairer to the players. India still has not received a reviewed decision in their favour, thats why they are expressing their dissatisfaction to the UDRS. Once they start to get decisions in their favour, they will accept its effectiveness.
But I'm fully with Dhoni for his comments on UDRS in its present condition. Once the opinion of the technology is sought ICC should make the tech's decision final. When its clearly seen that the batsman in out, why on earth they leave the decision back to the ground umpire as if to insult the technology? It was really embarrassing.
What was BCCI doing,When ICC headed by it's remote controller, Mr. Pawar was formulating the rules for WC matches. Why it did not bring this issue of UDRS before the ICC panel well in advance. BCCI Controlled by Mr. Srinivasan of "Chennai super Kings" is taking Mr. Dave Richradson of ICC, becoz Mr. Dhoni happens to be the captain of Srinivasan's IPL Franchise.
Why the BCCI controlled by Mr. Srinivasan, who also owns "Cheenai superkings" did not reprimand Mr. Dhoni for his outburst against Kerala Express Mr.Sreeshant."CONVERGENCE or CONFLICT of INTEREST"

Mr Pawar was busy, god knows where. He wanted to reduce his ministerial workload and work for ICC, and it seems he doesnt work there too.
Maybe he was busy with his sugar lobby !! minting crores.

Look at it as BCCI supporting its captain - bringing CSK into the pic shows ur Parochial interest..
Srinivasan reacted just bcz Dhoni plays for CSK. Hoping for a long term relation Srinivasan has come out in support of Dhoni. How many players were backed up by BCCI in the past ??????

Did you forget? Within last few years players like Scahin, Sourav and Harbhajan have been backed by BCCI for various incidents. Hence you can not say in this way when Dhoni is being backed by BCCI. After all he is the captain of INDIA.
Do you think BCCI is genuinely interested in supporting Dhoni or for that matter the players? This is just a tit for tat against ICC for their reprimand on BCCI during the ticket sales fiasco. BCCI always have their own hidden agenda
Sachin claimed the catch of Dravid in IPL... Only in replays it was known to world that it was not catch.. other wise nobody was dared to question sachin.... Gavaskar said if sachin say he caught it then we must trust him.... but replays said someting else

You have a habit of simply passing out comments on Sachin(The Legend)
May be Sachin would have expressed his views which are mis interpretated by media. But Sachin in no way is the involved in influencing ICC or BCCI decision makers.

If you are famous you are taunted. No matter what, people accumulate good amount of jealousy towards the achievers. The examples are: Amitabh Bacchan, Sachin Tandulkar, Ambanis, TCS, Infosys, ICICI, HDFC... so many to count on.
been in favour of a indian batsman and oppsition captain criticized the rule then bcci would have asked for a life ban on him and indian media would have been up in arms against that captain...

Oh really, Mr Sure? This is a clear case of inadequacy of the system & Dhini merely pointed it out. Dhoni is correct here in expressing his displeasure regarding a faulty decision & the BCCI rightly supported him. Your extreme words against an official board supporting its own player shows your bias towards the country. Think from a neutral angle, & you will find that the action of BCCI is appropriate.

You would not have said the same things of Ricky Ponting or Grame Smith would have been instead of Dhoni. :-)

Thats why I said that braves do not fear of rules. They perform and do not find excuses or complaints like Dhoni is doing. Rules are same for everyone in this world cup. If Mr Dhoni is not able to comply with them, its his fault. If Team India had not rejected UDRS 3 years back, they would had learnt how to use it.
UDRS is a fully accepted in all popular games in the world. And if cricket has to survive it will have to go with technology. Otherwise cricket will meet the status of Kabaddi and Kho Kho.

Wov, Shrikanth... First, Dhoni only said that the technology has its glitches. He never quesioned the umpire decision, otherwise he would be banned for few matches. Second, there is nothing wrong when you bring points to show that UDRS is still not conclusive. Third, Dhoni never broke rules by giving his comment post the match nor he broke rules while in the match. Finally, Richardson need not teach rule book to anyone and nor he need to open his mouth from nowhere.

The biggest problem with BCCI is that it commands over 90% of cricket money and wants every rule favoring Team India so that the sponsors (junk consumer companies) are benefitted.
When players like Dhoni, Tendulkar wants every rule in their favor to make personal landmarks, kudos to Sehwag who has the opinion that UDRS brings more transparency to the game.
Timids and Manipulators fear rules, brave people are never afraid of rules.
