By no means you are an Indian...Stop writing in Indian names and be brave to reveal your identity....
India is moving forward in all fields when even when many animals are barking...

Probongan,
Who denied that India is moving forwards in many spheres?
Dont beat round the bush.Answer to the point. When, Dhoni, who has scant respect for UDRS cries, nobody can shed crocodile tears for him. Let him stand and deliver as a captain rather than whining.

Every fan has a right to demand performance by Dhoni...
But what is being discuss here is different....
Dhoni has raised a very meaningfull point here....If the decision influencing factors are finally decided by UDRS, then we might have the decision also coming in from he system....Why is there a human interference and manipulaion by the umpire ?
Dhoni has rightfully pointed out to flaws in the system which are exposed now...There is no ban on anybody expressing their opinions which relate to the area of professional expertise...out of their experiences with the rules....what is considered to be a good system might turn into unreasonable one practically...
Stubborn and rigid people wanting to close their eyes and argue unncessarily are harmfull to the natural justice...

Crib whenever you can. Just try finding excuse for a defeat. FYI Ireland beat England. Guess what? They played good cricket.

True,
A person who had scant respect for the system due to his board backing & talking about midway through the tournament is utter rubbish. Had he adopted it earlier in the SA tour, atleast now he would have learnt how to use it.

Dhoni did not criticise the decision which was made in accordance with the rules. Dhoni criticised the rule itself after its shortcoming became glaring.

Mr. Ashish, Every rules has its own shortcomings which will be fine tuned in a period of time. But, when Dhoni is fully opposed to the system its ridiculous. Afterall dhoni is not cricket.

Firsty when every other country is agreeing to this system, why is dhoni running away from the system? Just because Dhoni dosent like it dosent mean the end of cricket. The game is more important than any individual.

If it is the law, then accept it....
by Junior Shelly on Mar 02, 2011 11:14 PM  | Hide replies

The ICC decided to implement the UDRS in the WC. India is a member of the ICC. Dhoni is leading the Indian team which is a member of the ICC. The ICC law clearly mentions if the point of impact of the ball is 2.50 meters or more from the stumps, then even if the batsman is hit in line, he cannot be given out lbw.
It was terrible for a captain to criticise the ICC mid-way through the tournament. May be he was frustrated with the result of the match.
Now, about the 'Letter' from the BCCI to ICC......well...we have seen it in the past....flexing the financial muscle to protect its money spinner from burning his AS...
Simple as That..!!!

True,
BCCI always tries to flex its muscles for cheap antics.Dhoni is not the boss of ICC. If he does not know the rules let him get off the team. Sooner, Dhoni will be kicked out of the team for his Nepotism, Idiotism, Useless Pepsi shot etc.

I agree, this review thing is all bullshit and India should never agree to accept it. It is not at all 100% fool proof. It could have been an easy Indian victory but then again these shitty rules of ICC came in between.

The rules are the same for everyone. It was not introduced when India was bowling against England. India did agree to play the WC with this rules.

How is it okay for Dhoni to criticize ICC rules during the middle of the tournament? and it is not okay for ICC to respond back.
Also, why does the referral system have to be 100% foolproof? The current system is much better than what we would have if there were no referrals. First of all ICC should have this for every series and not to allow individual boards to dictate.
Having said all this, do I like the 2.5m rule? No. It should be a guideline not the rule. But, it is there in the rule, so Dhoni and all of you guys should pipe down and play by the rule.
