baseless rule....

what's the fun in taking the help of technology if we are not ready to take its advantage completely.... hence the frustration..
if ICC is ambivalent to decide between Technology or Umpires, then why this 2.5 meters rule..?
Bell himself said he couldn't believe his luck.. and when he went back to dressing room he would have laughed at mindless rules of ICC, like anything...

Miviu: The fun of course is that Dhoni and u get a ready made excuse. ;-) As if Dhoni has ever believed in Technology before. ;-)

Mr Dhoni, BCCI knew that UDRS will be used in World Cup a year back. What they were doing since then. Sleeping?

The problem is that Mr Dhoni is still does not understand UDRS. BCCI is blame for this fiasco.

More than Dhoni the nonsense, there are many nonsense fans who dance/nod to any idiotic thinking.

manu zach, junior shelly, dont write like an idiot. tomorrow if dhoni is not given out lbw in a match even if he was lbw, will you not say he is lucky to be still there and should be rightfully given out?

@Sunil Vaidya:
Yes...you said it. In sports, and cricket in particular, luck plays a huge role in determining the winner and the loser. The players and the fans should accept it and move on. That is something called 'sportsman spirit'.
In the case of Ian Bell, the umpires just did what they should as per the law. No point in arguing.

junior shelley, that's allright. you agree ian bell was out and was lucky to be given not out and so england luckily tied the match they ought to lose. so its okay. you admit your mistake. you are forgiven.

Thanx for showing your ignorance on this forum to tell us that for the first time in the human history a team got a wrong decision from the Umpire... ;-)

junior shelley, so you agree that thay whatever is done according to law is correct. but you dont mind whether the law is correct or not. even if the law is wrong let it remain wrong is what you are saying.

Vaidya:

Agree with you 100%.... If a bowler oversteps by just 1 cm, then the batsman not being ruled out is a Wrong Law... Right?
We shouldn't just allow ICC to do things according to laws... with one exception... when our batsmen are batting then that no ball rule is good enough; even 1 mm overstepping should be minutely observed, else we'll shout "whole world is against India"... ;-)

I dont know whether you will get it, but i will try nevertheless. ...:)

the wrong law i was referring to is that once the decision is referred to the third umpire then he should be the one who gives the decision whether correct or wrong is another matter. this referral being referred back to the on-field is a joke. hope you get what i am trying to say ...:)

There you go again...:)

i dont know how many people on this forum shout ''whole world is against india'' and i am certainly not one of them... i dont recall ever saying anything ever in my post remotely making anyone think that i belong to that tribe. so i dont know why you keep saying that while writing to me...:)

But from your posts it does seem to me like you are shouting ''whole world is against australia'' or ''whole world is against against pseudos''...;)

cricketing revenues are generated from india itself with more than 95%....so it is imperative for the icc buffs to listen to indians...as such indians have the top brains and better that one such indian company can come up with better idea....with ipl already confirmed about adopting mr jaidev formula instead of D/L method its better that we should use our strength and frame rules to suit us...whats wrong in it...and that idiot richardson should be slapped and his visa should be cancelled...

UDRS:FACTS:
by rahul bajaaj on Mar 02, 2011 11:43 PM

"adulteration of technology with human thinking" is the great discovery by Dhoni. Even in the case of snikometer or even INCONCLUSIVE runouts, the benefit of doubt goes to the Batsman & not the bowler. The umpire was forced to call for UDRS & he was convinced his decision was right well within the rules. Then why the fuss about this.
