If this is true Indian crics are cry babies and complete chu-tias
by SUNIL MATHIAS on Jun 24, 2011 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

They shud not cry everytime they get a wrong decision. I remember Ponting once got a bad one and he said its part and parcel of the game and eventually they level out. These people wanna have their cake and eat it too. Who has stopped them from accepting UDRS. Other team players also comment abt bad umpiring, but they neva say they dont want the umpire. This will leave a bad taste in the mouth of the umpire, and he mite deliberately give wrong decisions in future (though unlikely) to vent his ire. Just show me one Indian umpire who's of internatinal standard and officiating in internationals. Its a shame the richest board in the world can't have a program to develop umpires. They are busy minting money in this cash cow called cricket, on the basis of all the huge mass of Indian cricket following bozos in this country. They shud realize that they have the monopoly, but it will count for pittance if other international players and teams are not in fray. Imagine india playing only domestic cricket which no 1 watches in India.

How about the possibility of deliberate bad decisions to push UDRS by ICC ?

udrs is one thing and quality of umpiring is another.
Had udrs been in place then also Mr Harper wud have made the same mistake.
Here, teh talk is about Harper's quality of umpiring.

So, what you will do if umpires ate making mistakes often.

But the question is on what basis you charge that the umpire did a mistake?

They should not complain
by RC on Jun 24, 2011 06:27 PM  | Hide replies

The 3 errors mentioned here would not have come up if BCCI & Indian players accepted the UDRS system. Now what's the point complaining??? Like I mentioned earlier, even if they believe the system is not full proof-- atleast if half of the errors can be eliminated, what's the harm?? India does not have the right to complain now.

Use UDRS my friend,if you do not believe in umpires.

And please mind that Umpires like Simon Taufel, Davis are strictly pro-India and they duck many decisions against India.

Indian team has developed dictatorial tendencies

MSD refuses to accept URDS with support from another cricketer for reasons that can best be explained as poor understanding of technology. Why then is he crying foul for human errors if it happens to go against team India? The game was lost but for charming life given by Sammy to wall on 6.

by Radhakrishnan on Jun 24, 2011 05:30 PM

True, Harper's umpiring was dreadful. But it serves the BCCI right in refusing to accept UDRS.
But UDRS itself helps only if it uses hot-spot, which, by far is the most useful of technologies.
