I agree he is the best prospect Ihave seen in many years. He should learn to bowl googly or atleast a top spinner tobe more effective.Martine another legspinner is also too good.He should also be tried in tests.

he will soon become another mendis, doesnt matter whether mendis was a orthodox or unorthodox bowler at the time he started his career, many experts called him a future legend, some next murli what later he turned out to be another flop! he had variations still he is now useless, and as per u bishoo lacks any variations so we can guess his career very well
Bishop says there is no guarantee that India can repeat the fightback shown in SA. Thats true...Cause they are going to be steamrolled by India in the next two test. No need to fight back. Not to mention half of India's regular team is not playing. Its all a simple case of sour grapes. WI, AUS ex cricketers cant stomach the fate that India is the new superpower in cricket, financially and performance wise.
In recent past indian batsman have struggled against S.Afridi, S.Udal, M.Clarke, A.Mendis, P.Harris, S.Ajmal, D.Bishoo etc. They are not as comfortable as they were in 70s, 80s and 90s. But current generation looks more comfortable against pace attack and thats the reason we are getting success in all over the world.

You drop The Wall at 6 and then he goes on to make 112 out of 274 deliveries, you called that Lucky?

I agree that Indian batsmen have struggled against spinners too in not only the recent past but also in earlier decades. In general (barring Sachin, Dravid, Laxman and to a certain extent Gambhir) most of the Indian batsmen tend to play well only on good batting surfaces and the ones that has little bounce. That is why we see that players who scored so heavily in domestic tournaments struggle in international games (especially test matches) and there are innumerable examples of such players.

regardging playing spin well u forgot to mention ganguly,he was the best player to play spin
Bishoo is a very good prospect. He has got very good control for a leggie and the heart to take the stick and come back. If he develops a good googlie he will be even more effective. We should see more of Bishoo doing well on the bowling front.

No doubt he is good but he should have more control in his bowling. He gifted short deliveries to cut for Indian batsmen especially Dravid who is more benefited.
talking about india's win and west indies's loss.he forgot that this indian side is without sehwag, gambhir, sachin, zaheer otherwise god knows what would have happened to this poor west indian side.ha ian dont give useless opinions,go home and take a nap

Well said. West Indies is having a fake confidence in the absence of several senior batsmen in Indian team.

" Accept defeat gracefully " wise men says Mr. Bishop. It is painful to see old W.I. stalwarts watching game with heads down. And wait Mr.Bishop for next two games !! Alok Bhattacharya

Bishoo is really good His loop reminds one of our Prasana(of course off spinner) and turn is really good Has lot of patience and is a good fielder.Looks like a under-19 player Wishing him a bright career The only world class player in this WI team

He is good, but he is also new. Remember, Ajantha Mendis was almost unplayable when he was new to International Cricket.

Mendis is a freak bowler not the orthodox Leg spinner No comparision with Bishoo My bet is this guy will trouble any top class batsmen Pleasure to watch him bowl

May be he will go on to become a good spinner against non-spin nations, definitely not against India.

This is just one way of looking at the things, and it definitely does not conclusively prove that Indians are great players of spin. For one thing, the indian spinners including the famed quartet have been totally ineffective in absence of support from the pitch, and whenever Indian batsmen have come across a pitch supporting spin, they have been found wanting.. The earliest case that comes to mind is of 1971-72, when India somehow managed to score 86 required to win the test at Chepauk, for the loss of 6 wickets. I wonder if anyone remembers the names of the England Spinners who almost brought India to knees: They were Pat Pocock and Jack Birkenshaw. In more recent incidents, Indians have been done in by none too great spinners on their own soil on the following occasions: Tauseef Ahmed and Iqbql Qasim: Bangalore 1987 Shaid Afridi and Arshad Khan: Bangalore 2005 Shaun Udal and Monty Panesar: Mumbai 2006. Ian Bishop is no fool.

If you say so: Agarkar single-handedly destroyed Australia in Adelaide (December 2003) Srinath (in 1996) and Sreesanth (in 2006) destroyed South Africa in their own backyard. And who can forget Zaheer Khan;s performance in Nottingham (2007)
However, I do not remember anybody saying Australia, South Africa and England are weak players of pace.

"whenever Indian batsmen have come across a pitch supporting spin, they have been found wanting". Everyone knows it has been very difficult to beat India in India, and Indian pitches are known to be Spin friendly
Excuse me - I am a bit confused after reading this article . Did India win or loose the Test ?? Poor Bishop - it is hard to accept that an Indian team without Sehwag , Tendulkar,Gambhir or Zahir Khan can still finish off the West Indies in 4 days . It could have been even less if there was no David Hair in the field. However even he could not stop the Indian Express. Mr Bishop better hope on a Time Machine and go back to 1980s -for at present tense there is no hope for your Team.

It could have been in 3 days, had our players stayed & scored well in first innings. It could have been an inning's defeat.

Well, There were 3 poor decision against India in the second innings. If anybody is lucky, it was WI, still they could not win.

they have some real good bowlers like edwards, roach, and rampaul where indian team just has one zaheer khan. Ishant sharma and others at the best are medium pace bowlers.... West indies needs to learn to win... they will the team to beat if they do that.... dont be tooo upbeat and proud about indian team.. the greats are about to retire and those who gonna replace them dont look the worth... winners should have a grace... not proud.
