Poor Sachin
by mang on Jun 23, 2011 08:19 PM

Looks like Sachin is big need of money and BCCI should immediately host few matches to raise a help Sachin fund. Otherwise, who will think of selling a gift that he gets from a great sporstman like Schumacher. Sachin, on the verge of retirement from his active sports life should not have got into this situation where he needs money so desperately...

Sorry Mr Tendulkar, it's not cricket
by Bowrie RK on Jun 23, 2011 08:13 PM

Of all the records u have set, selling a gift in the form of Ferrari - which any monied man will never do - u have set another record - rather a dubious one - by doing so. OK, that's ur business, but don't u tnink u have cheated government for over one crore of rupees, which had exempted u from paying duty. One hopes u will try to rectify it by paying belatedly the amount to government and redeem ur reputation.

sachin is the god of cricket as per indian cricket fans, thus he(god) cannot do anything wrong. god after selling ferrari has gone to europe with his entire family with expenses borne by his sponsors/bcci. not available for playing for india, but fit to tour europe.

Selling a gift?
by pradeep agarwal on Jun 23, 2011 07:48 PM

It is really sad to know that person of his wealth has to sell what was gifted to him which also got levy exemption from govt. This shows how money minded our icons are.

Yes, it is true that what he does with his cars is none of my business, but just pay the Rs 1.13 crore duty plus interest before you sell it off. Do not rob your country.

Do you know how to read? In August 2003, the finance ministry exempted Tendulkar from paying around Rs 1.13 crore (approximately US $245,000) towards import duty for the vehicle

CHEAP THIRD RATE HUMAN BEING BUT TALENTED CRICKETER
by Aries aries on Jun 23, 2011 07:09 PM  | Hide replies

This once again proves that Tendulkar only has money on his mind. Extremely third rate human being who only plays records and has won the least matches for India.

How can anyone sell a gift received on equalling Bradman's record and that too a gift received from another legend Schumacher.

Under pressure he succeeds only twice out of ten times whereas Steve Waugh will score 8 times out of 10.

But let there be no doubt , Tendulkar is a very talented cricketer and extremely level headed on and off the field.

what he does with his cars should be noone's business. He probably sold the gift because he wanted to buy something else and there's a limit to what you can customize in a particular car. Whatever the reason be, it was his gift and he wanted to sell it. period.
And what would someone do with the money? he can only buy cars or do something with it. If he decides to sell it, it shouldn't be anyone's problem.
