It is is Hard Earned Bread, Crown and Fame. He deserves to hold it as long as he is fit. At 38 if he can score 100 out 60 balls then we know he is as good as Raina or some one. See how catches the ball when most youngsters drop it. See how he runs around the filed when most others stand in one place and move without any interest. See the Zest in motivating others. Wow The Real Hero and allow him to do what he wants ....

very true....... even sachin is not match-winner is a statement 1st given by Imran who is sachin hater
Same with guys like Badrinath, Manoj tiwary, Kholi. If you, VVS, Dravid dont retire, how these guys will chance. You can still associate yourselves with cricket in som capacity. People wont let you sit at home. You can still go out and coach. Is n it. Thats the reality. Because you cannot play till you are 50.

I dont understand one thing, why you guys get so mad when we make some constuctive comments about him. I am not anything bad about him. All the good things should come to an end. He can still contribute in some capacity. We have seen some youngers coming in, if you dont give them the chance now, they will fade away.
BTW, Where the sambhar comes into picture. Learn to talk only relevant subject. Dont expect everybody will have the same opinion like you. I admire sachin, dravid and VVS. At the same time, we need give these youngsters their chance to prove.

Its not the lame comments. Its a fact. One day, you will also realize and will say that. Sachin, Dravid cannot play till 40. If they do, some of the youngster will not get chance at all. All the good things should come to an end. I am not a sachin basher, at the same time i am not a blind sachin fan. I am an ardent follower of cricket. BTW, you stop making personal comment about me and the place i come from and the food i eat.
Politics and Bollywood in India never had a retirement age...now it looks like Cricket is also following the same trend.
This news may make a billion happy and yet think about the budding cricketers who now knows that at least one position is not available to them for the next 10 years [??] or more.
Sachin is God for 1 billion minus those poor souls above.

If people says SACHIN HAS TO RETIRE...than why people are not saying Bhacchan , sharukh, salman , digvijay, LK Advani, MMS .....oops list is big...should also retire.
2010 and 2011 have been great for him-physically fit-over 1000 runs in test cricket-excellant scored in ODIs and IPL-you have a long way to go-atleast until next world cup-just space it properly and keep fit-you can get one more world cup-god bless
