Tendulkar
by Dilip Mahanty on Jun 04, 2011 05:10 AM  | Hide replies

Some comments in this feedback display a personal venom of people who have not achieved anything in life and therefore project their inadequacies trying to pull an icon down to their own mundane levels! Many display lack of cricketing nuance in analysing SRT's achievements which have been universally lauded by renowned cricketers across the globe.Obviously these cricketing greats know a thing or two more about cricketing skills than the arm chair critics spewing venom! The Indian crab syndrome which has prevented India from achieve greatness is at play here!
The only criticism about Tendulkar is that he could have taken a break of 2 months after the World Cup to represent his country in Tests in the West Indies!By choosing IPL4 instead of representing India he has left himself open to criticism!
Cold statistics show that Tendulkar has been the best Indian batsman in all forms of the game over the last 18-20 months,This shows that his value to the team is inestimable.Every strokemaker, however good, shows slowing of reflexes when he ages or develops injuries and SRT is no exception. He has countered this by playing to his strengths rather than out and out offence. When he started he was an adventurous strokeplayer.Over time he has had to adjust.Critics should recognise these facts before exhibiting their ignorance

statiscally Lara is better than sachin in Test cricket. sachin can never overcome it. He took three years to come past lara's record of highest run in test cricker but both started the carrier together!?
He can never get 400 runs in an inns, he can never get lara's average.(he took more matches than lara), never get highest run in series, can never win series for india in ausi soil, can never play elegant cricket like lara.

Then what else he want to do?

Guru is another guy whose digestive system wont accept food unless he throws some crap on rediff related to SRT. If Lara himself rates SRT above him, who in the blue hell would u be to make these comparisons? Also, get ur recordbooks straight, SRT has always had an edge over others (Except Bradman) ... Respect

Each and everything some period or stage is there in the life. what about you? pls give chances to other youngsters those who are performing eagerly. You must be satisfied with the world cup. You failed to perform in crucial & big game of world cup final. What else you want to do, can you tell us. pls concentrate on other areas of cricket except playing. Otherwise you become shameful.

are some of the posters here jealous of Sachin?
by LG on Jun 04, 2011 02:27 AM  | Hide replies

NO, they can never be; they are I_D_I_O_T_S.

Only those who have achieved something can be jealous of others who have achieved more.

BUT how can stupids/I_D_I_O_T_S, who have achieved NOTHING,can be jealous of anyone, forget about being jealous of great achiever like Sachin.

shows tendulkar's weak heart
by prakash b on Jun 04, 2011 12:00 AM  | Hide replies

tendulkar was praying with eyes closed when india won the world cup...this shows that he is weak hearted...if he was a strong man temperamentally ..he wud have been present to see the final runs...thats why he never performs at the crunch time...he was lucky to win the world cup...becoz of strong hearted collegues like dhoni and yuvraj singh...

Power Cricket - 1 triple(atleast 70)
by cc man on Jun 03, 2011 10:42 PM  | Hide replies

Tendya needs to step up is batting standards. He has to learn to play power cricket like Gayle,Hayden,Sehwag,Richards etc.

Unless he cultivates this he cannot achieve two missing things in his career which are as follows. Because to be regarded as great after retirement, power cricket always keeps in mind rather than statistics. Look at how Richards,Bradman,Sobers are regarded as opposed to Gavaskar,Border etc

1. One fast triple( minimum strike rate of 70)
2. One fast double(minimum strike rate of 70)

Once he achieves these, he needs to retire in the interest of future indian cricket

He has to power shots like pulling, hooking on all sides of the ground to be considered as great as Richards,Gayle,Gilcrhist,Hayden,Bradman etc.

If Tendya does not go high with power cricket, even though how good his stats are he will be always regarded less to Richards,Bradman,Gayle,Sehwag,Gilchrist etc
