4.63runs per over is a huge average in test cricket, that is the rate they scored today. Only miracle can save this match for India. If England are smart enough they should declare it tomorrow after 1 hr batting.

In reply India would start a match with less than 1 run per over and after two hrs they will reach to run rate of close to 2.
With his style of batting he provides a positive intent to the team to chase. In last test match in WI India couldnt chase even 280. Indian batsmen love to waste deliveries in Tests. Dravid may score century but after playing 250 balls. That will diminish the chances of putting big scores.

Go check Sehwag's statistics on cricinfo. He is only a first innings player. He fails miserably in 2nd innings when asked to chase down a target.

His 4th innings average is 28. Go check if you don't believe. So u cannot rely on Sehwag only to win you matches by chasing down totals.

Doest it make difference? Does test match start only with second innings? Sehwag being in team and spending just 20-30 overs in tests make a great difference in results.

If Sachin does not contribute by scoring a attacking big hundred under pressure in second innings run chase then its end of road for his objectives to play cricket still at such age. He needs to retire if he does not play well in second innings. he already went on defensive in first test and failed.

Sehwag's average in second innings is 20 against his first innings average of aroung 60. How are you so confident that Sehwag can help chase down totals. Actually he fails when chasing. His game is suited for first innings when there is no pressure of target.

I dont think you have a proof to support your stupid statistic because Sehwag's total test average is 53 and your figures 60 and 20 averages to 40. Be reasonable and logical.

For your info. India has been able to chase down total of 300 plus in 4th innings only twice during Sehwag's career. And that too in these chases Sehwag's contribution has been negligible.

Shame on you CC man. Blaming poor Sachin for the faults of Dhoni and India bowlers. Sachin can't save India when the India bowlers inspired by clueless Dhoni give away runs as if this was a 20-20 or IPL match. Dhoni has simply lost the battle of the nerves. He is not the same without Gary Kirsten. Ultimately it is extremely poor captaincy from Dhoni.

But poor bowling and pathetic fielding doesnt compel Sachin to do hopeless batting. His three inning average is not crossing 20 while Broad and Prior has better average than him.
Without Sehwag India can't chase 300 even in two days. So this match is over for India almost. Now there are brighter chances of India loosing this match.

They dont have priorities for Test and ODIs anymore for the national team. all they care is endorcement and IPL auctions. A great player like Sachin chose to take vacation in WI series but he doesnt go on vacation during IPL. If a player like Sachin does this then one can't expect any thing better from the rest.
