What is shocking that in spite of playing so many tests and scoring so many runs Tendulkar each time begins his inning like a player making debut. He hardly made any positive start in most of the innings he batted. I am also his greatest fan but refuse to accept he is God etc. He is one of those lucky players who got to play very early in his age (16 years) and faced less competition initially. Of course rest is history. His both innings in Lords were disaster. He & Dhoni both forgot to play their natural game. While Sachin's mind was on his 100th century, Dhoni had No.1 rank in his mind. Pathetic display from both whose refusal to play positive cricket brought doom to Indian team. Hats of to young Raina who in spite of his nervous 0 in the first inning played very bravely under pressure to score 78 runs. Seniors should take some lesson from this Junior most player in coming tests.

dont agree that Sachin is lucky player who got to play very early in his age (16 years) and faced less competition initially... He faced Suberb bowlers ever in cricket on bowler friendly pitches, without help on otherend... his only help came wnh Dravid, Laxma & Ganguly joind almots Ten years later.... thn also all the presure is on Sachin... & if he is so concerned about his 100 then he should be b'cause that also get added at Teams total.... think reasonbly guys... & Support India
superb display by england and it was a treat to watch Jimmy Anderson bowl the way he did. There is not any appreciation of way England played in Indian media , instead it is all about how badly India played. If India wins it is how good they are , never recognise the opposition efforts. That stupid idiot Saurav on Star Cricket could only say how India are poor starters aand even went to the extent that England cannot pick 20 wickets in a Test just when India were 60 for no loss in 1st inn. It is a torture if one listens to him and Wilkins ( an Indian chamcha)

Have u listened to presentation ceremony, where English commentators also asked Dhoni about the reason for poor starters in first macth of any series!!! Have faith. Just wait for the turnaround.
PPL say so much hype around sachin, yes.bit too much , I agree. but he paying for it.see the responses here. sachin is just one batmen failed ,largly we lost the match coz of bowlers still all the blame is for him.. He is still the top ranked ICC test player, but ppl talk abt dropping him..
Indian players are tuned to T20 and 1 day international. they only provide the money, recognition, income from advertisement. The IPL' s electors had discarded their own state's top and recognised test batsmen in favour of few, who throw to wind all the caution to score few extra runs.

We Indians are always like this....we love it when somebody is down...Its just a test match loss. The same IPL, money advertisements etc that you mention have existed when we were no 1 in Tests this last 2 years. Where was your silly and unwanted assessment at that time. This same team showed guts in the last test series in SA. Where was your armchair criticism then???Please keep your silly views to yourself and leave cricket to experts.....

I admire Ian Lendl, the top tennis player of 80s/90s. his motto was " beat other top players of his genre, on his own off form days, and at his opponents at their best form and the audience/crowd rooted against him" he stayed on top and outlasted most of the top ranking players of his time. it needed dedication, effort and focus and sacrifice.
Yuvraj should have played ahead of Mukund in the Lords Test....He has the experiance of English conditions and is a far better player than Mukund....His spin also could have come handy.....Dhoni surely missed the trick here...He could have opened with Dravid and Gambhir & had Yuvraj down the order......

It was Gary Kirsten who masterminded the role Yuvraj played - match winner with controlled batting and surprise spin. Now that Gary is gone, we are back to the old tricks .. was the Sourh Lobby behind inclusion of Abhinav Mukund?

Chennai Super King Lobby always work for Murali Vijay, Badrinath, Dhoni, Raina & Wriddhiman Saha to secure their place in Indian team.

What happened to Gambhir,Sachin who failed with the bat ?? Abhinav Mukund nearly scored a 50 in his debut innings in England.Kindly be aware of that and try to appreciate that. There is no politics at all here.Srikanth has not included TN players unless they deserve a place in the team. What happened when GR Viswanath,Vengsarkar were the selectors?Kindly do not bring this regionalism here.. It is a collective failure in all departments.
