Drop Bhajji from the team. I am still trying to figure what Dhoni was thinking by keeping Gambhir at Sili Point, the most dangereous postion in Cricket. Because India was simply giving up runs to allow English Declaration

Dhoni knows gambir is a threat for captain ship role,so he want to eliminate by this means. He plays dirty politics with sehwag when he was threat by sacking from team, thanks to kumble,he came back strongly.
this is what happens when a team is over hyped and then get disgraced.. at the first outset this team has never had a decent bowling attack ever ,so its only a matter of time before the true calibre of this team comes out and proves that they are just an ordinary team below the likes of netherlands or kenya.
We lost the game because of Dhoni..till he was there in the greese, everything was fine....he would have played for another 20 overs, then the game would have been drawn. He has given the wicket and done a big error. Raina tried his best.

When Dhoni can take the credit for winning, let him take the credit for losing also.

Yes, the approach was very negative and defeatist. England batted, bowled, and fielded better than India. Dhoni was busy insulting his team mate and his dead father in an ad. The players were unfit and tired. The coach and the captain were clueless on strategy. It's a failure on all corners for this team. They have undone the changes brought in by Kapil Dev, Saurav Ganguli, and MS Dhoni himself. You can tell that Gary Kirsten's tactical game plans were missing. Team selection and prep were thoughtless ... Mr. Dhoni, Making "different" did not work so are you going to make it "large" next game?

His Wicket Keeping for Club Class. I am still trying to figure what Dhoni was thinking by keeping Gambhir at Sili Point, the most dangereous postion in Cricket. Because India was simply giving up runs to allow English Declaration

His Wicket Keeping was as poor as Club Class. I am still trying to figure what Dhoni was thinking by keeping Gambhir at Silly Point, the most dangereous postion in Cricket. Because India was simply giving up runs at that time to allow English Declaration
I strongly feel that some one from rediff Moderator team is sprewing venom against Sachin and dhoni and BCCI and Indian Team. Maybe he is posting ? all by himself ?
My previous message which was there for 3 mintures has been taken off becoz. I was fair to Indiaz ?
Dhoni's captaincy is flawed. His wicket keeping and management of slips were atrocious. Why don't he understand the slip fielders or close in fielders at gully and backward shortleg should be little more closer to take catch with our slower bowlers bowling. He let England pile on runs from a very grave situation(62/5)by allowing part timers to bowl. Really strange indeed. This certainly questions his captaincy skill.

No one can be perfect all the times.
Tell me what he should have done ? He kept on trying his best. He lost and you lost your mind ?
Do you think to play international cricket is like buying a vegetarian Paunbhaji or Bhel-puri ?
Do you remember DON B.was out first ball duck by Alec Bedsar in a crucial match and yet no Aussies condemned him for losing that match after failing in batting.

ya, aussies were great when it came to cricket from those days until 2009. if the don failed, there was someone else to compensate for the loss. but looking at all the abuses thrown on sachin in this match, it is quite evident that we still rely on sachin for winning/surviving. what was captain courageous doing when fitness tests were going on? maybe advertising.....?

mr. Balu, u r absolutely right. Praveen kumar is slower than ishant. So, wicketkeeper
A few guys here are questioning Indias No1 ranking based on one, yes ONE, loss toengland(filled with 4 south african born guys btw). Where was the match preparation for the Indians? India were world champs and immediately after had to honour the commitments of playing in IPL, which left them drained. Even then a 3rd string side won overseas in the windies on fast pitches. And did you forget that tendulkar batted with fever, gambhir had a elbow injury, Zak was missing etc. And the wrong decision against KP when he was 49(went on to make 200)? THis is a champion side and they are gonna come back and make some of these armchair critics, who need a dose of humility, eat humble pie. Btw, 90 pc of fans in various polls in ndtv, aaj tak etc agreed that it was bad luck more than anything else as the rason for loss. You guys are in minority. So whine on...

i agree with you sir ! why people of India are keeping quiet when some people are just bitterly humiliating and tarnishing their heroes.
We Paks were near best once upon a time, and see in previous series England got us bowled our below 75, 3 times...
and we all including our cousins in India stood by Paki teaml.
How can you hurt and humiliate your own heroes.
This is a sign of idiocity and also cowardice.
Thanks anyway. Serve the game and not personal jealousy.

@majid, u maybe noble enough to consider this loss. but dont forget that ur people also did the same when pak lost to india in WC semifinals. we also have seen the interviews of afridi on youtube. i too have paki friends who cursed afridi, misbah and kamran akmal as m-a-c**d and b-e-h-e-n-c**d. my colleagues here also accused them of match fixing! it is now our turn to scold our guys for their performance only, thats all :)
As a Pakistani I feel India did tremendously well for pass few years. It had never attained this standard in 100 yrs.of its cricket hisotry. They lost yesterday and some people spew venom as if they were greatest terorists on earth. Actualy why cant you think that other countries are playing strong cricket ? It is an insult of the game the way you condemn your own players.
Some people are targetting Sachin as if he has aped them ! He is a perfect gentleman, probably the best batsman ever. Even Don invited him and praised him to be closest to him, and a few believe he is better.
I cant understand the bitter jealousy of " some Indians " are so much hateful of him.
They guide other Indians to join in Sachin condemnation, while forgetting no one stayed so long on International level.
Like our greatest spnr A.QUADIR says, " allah t'aala ne usko ye karamat di hai, bas dekhte hi reh jao "...
and...here you Indians, kick him day and night while run aways when our Jihadis smack you on monthly basis...
As a cricket lover, I congratulate India for attaining spot 1. It is not easy. No one can stay there for long.
You Indianz, when Sachin does well, you just ga ga over him...and when he is in turmoil, you not only shun him, but humiliate him.
This is also an insult to other teams who play good or even better cricket.
Re: No problem, Cricket is not a personal property of Indianz.
by Noshir Daruwala on Jul 26, 2011 10:28 PM
Well Mr.Qureshi, I appreciate your staightforwardness and balanced views. It is some people similar who hate Sachin, otherwise India knows circket well, it serves cricket well and WE ALL LOVE SACHIN, and also Sehwag,Dravid,Lax, Zak,Bhajji etc...
it is just we are a useless bunch of people, who like to roudily speakout loudly when it is safe.
But one thing for sure, England was coming since long. They are a very strong team. Esp. Cook who failed this time and yet no Englishmen condemned him like some of us. Even Muslim Englishmen did not condemn Cook.
That is what is called maturity and sportsmanship.

Why don`t you ask bhajji fr hand in marrige---good luck---also try to get a Sonia panties..As for the paki,,,,they are bought up to hate Hindu ,and Indian in the most rabid way---maybe you can move to pakisstan...Further more we have a right to condemned the Indian cricket board,,,and team,,,,i know your demon congress is trying to take our right away.....
They crawl in front of foreign boards and agree to play games without enough tour games for the players to acclimate to the conditions. Shame! Same thing happened in South Africa. No other board agrees to pay like this.
