If a person like caliber of sobers, gavaskar or imrankhan may rose this question than it understandable, but who is this nasir hussain ,always failed in his day, i big failier in his game and how he critised a team who is NO.1, ICC dont give no.1 status to us in the golden "Thali" ke beta jao le jao no.1 ki posstion, we urned it with our efforts and we also proove in next 3 test.
Actually every team claims that no one can beat him in their ground but when they go outside, then they blaim their problems to otherside team system (like - fooding, weather, pitch , climate etc.) But in all the cases, team india is quite different. they always have the capacity to turn the game at every moment. perhaps if Zaheer, Gambhir, Sachin would be in healthy condition, then situation would be some different. but this is the name of Chance and It is CRICKET. -- R.K.Shukla
More than losing the match what hurt me was the meek and timid way Sachin approached the game when batting yesterday. There were no big devils in the pitch and the English bowlers were neither menacing nor unplayable. Sachin had devils in his mind which ensured he failed. It is deeply embarassing and insulting that Sachin went without runs for 40 balls got almost out 3 times before falling plumb LBW to Anderson. Though it would be inappropriate to rate anyone on ONE INNINGS, Sachin proved that he is ordinary and lacks the grit and determination required when pushed to the wall or severely tested. For India, we lost the match the moment Dravid & Laxman were gone, though Raina saved some respect for us. Dhoni has been a colossal failure and Sachin let us down when it matters most. Would have been proud, if we had lost with GUNS BLAZING....Now Sachin's 100th century is of no consequence anymore since it did not come when it mattered most. Now for me, Sachin is not even no.10 batsman in the World, leave alone No.1. There are far better batsman who fight for their country's cause..
It's only the first match in the test-series folks so no need to get over emotional. Things didn't go India's way throughout this match but I firmly believe that India will bounce back more determined in the next match. But India will need all their bowlers firing in the next match if they plan to win. England's batsman are very experienced playing at home condition, just like Indian players in India. If Zaheer can play in the next match, then it will give huge boost to other players..lets see. Inshallah

You must have faith, my friend. The Indian team did not become no.1 by fluke. They just need to get used to the playing condition in England. In India the bowl keeps low and it does not deviate much from the seam. It's quite the opposite in England.
One may not like it, but it is true that the approach and body language of the Indian team was certainly not that of the team rated to be the no 1 in the world today. Rather it appeared they were playing against the no 1 team.
There can be no doubt that the preparation of the English team be it their own players, their study of the opposition and the use of the media were all far far superior to that of the Indian team.
For this one can only blame the shortsighted policies of our cricket board. They are literally out to kill the goose laying the golden eggs in their single mindedly mad running after more and more money. One is quite sure that this mad rush is fuelled by the percentage lining their own pockets. People like Sharad Pawar can never be accused of straying into areas where money can not be made.
The IPL has always been taking a very heavy toll of the top Indian players. This has always resulted in porr results by the Indian team in the immediate aftermath. But the money hungry top honchos at the BCCI are just turning a blind eye to this fact.
Thus the Indian team is finding itself with its top players either injured or jaded or both. Even against a weak opposition like the West Indies the cracks were evident. Against a top highly motivated English team they just collapsed like a pack of cards.
Frankly, the way they played in the first test, one does not see much hope of a comeback.
The Point is not wther Indian team deserves No 1.Yes they are undefeated for past 3 years and so they r No 1.But does that have Value of the No 1 Team!!!!!!!! IS THE TOPIC HERE

India Didnt Do anything Wrong here!!!!!!They are the no 1 team bcos the have been consistent!!No 1 team have to be ruthless and need to have the killer instinct , shd be able to have a gud backup in absence of key playesr and shd be able to play like champs irrespective of the limitations they have!!!!!1

India is not a champion side like Australia (1999-2007). But it doesn't make a conclusion that India don't have value to their number 1 status.

If India doesn't have then no team can have this status currently. Where was N.Hussain when this Eng side lost a test against weak Pak side?

Match was evenly balanced till 1st session of 4th day. It was 1st session of 5th day where Eng looked in winning position.
Our cricketers are famous for giving excuses after a loss.People don't mind a loss if we know that they tried their best.
The most successful Australian Captain Steve Waugh had once said " We Australians never like to loose and fight to the last.Even if we loose,we better have blood on our faces".That is the tough way they play.
Indians don't have the killer instinct. Our cricketers have been pampered too much with too much money/publicity/endorsements.Dhoni's endorsements are worth Rs 250 crores. High time we pay these guys as per their performance and give chance to young players in form.
Just 1 match lose and all started to giving their valuable comments, peoples only critisices, they cant do nothing, petrol-diesel, milk and other price hikes ppl do nothing, train accidents ppl do nothing, corruption all over ppl do nothing, but india lost 1 match and they started their expert comments, shame you ppl who critised our team, faith is always there that our team will beat them in the series. good luck all of you.

Nicely said. But you must understand that it is easy for the people to give their expert comments on the Internet, especially regarding cricket or bollywood. However, those comments has no real value.
dont worry too much Naseer about India, they have firepower to hit back. They will give hard time to ur people, aftr all cant judge No.1 team, just by 1 poor match. Just & Watch
