Diffence OR Offence....
by man nu on Jul 26, 2011 04:40 PM

India always palys in defencive tectic ....
1)After 6/55 situation of Englad India must go with more closing filder but Dhoni adopt different ideology...

2)India would not decleared target less then 500-525 run although England give target 458 which is provide England lots of time to bowled out India

Think... are we taking risk to win then how can we get win or make a win,,,,

Definitely India value their number 1 status...

India is undefeated from past 3 years thats why we are number 1.

Do other teams deserve number 1 status?

SA, Eng and Aus all three couldn't beat India in India in recent years. Eng lost to India by 1-0. Aus lost to India by 2-0. While SA could only manage draw while playing in SA.

India is not real world no.1
by swapnil ghate on Jul 26, 2011 04:35 PM  | Hide replies

Currently there is lot of competition for No.1 team and there is no clear no.1 at present. In suitable conditions India, England, South Africa and Sri Lanka look no.1 teams but in adverse conditions it is exactly opposite.

Even Australia won only once in India that too with (Gaddar) Shashank Manohar prepared a green top at Nagpur... therefore... if any team that has been a no.1 till date it was West Indies under Clive Lloyd.

The Indian players gave importance only to IPL
by VENKATESAN GURUSWAMY on Jul 26, 2011 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

The problem was the players didnt consider Test matches as important as IPL.That was the main reason for the defeat. They should atleast now consider Test matches is the most important format.IPL is just for money.

This is not the first time that this happened. We have history of losing the 1st match of series. This happened when IPL was not even thought of. So, don't be so critical & wait for the next match & I m confident that our team will fight back for sure.

A defeat is a defeat.Unless until we analyse,we cant be able to win the second match. We have to be ruthless and critical about our own performance.Otherwise things will become worse in the following matches.Undoubtedly its becos of IPL only..

This is not suprising
by common man on Jul 26, 2011 04:09 PM

In away tours more than 90% of the times we lose first test of series. You can pick up the piece of history and see that only after first test of the indians come back in series. Why it happens only god knows but this is the fact that any indian team under any captain has maintained this record for decades. We have the history of comebacks in the series. Why so much hue&Cry over one loss. That is also because we have one primier bowler short. So, it can happen to England also in next match.
