Sehwag is being missed
by Globe Mart on Jul 24, 2011 12:08 PM

Sehwag does something at the top that eases the burden on Sachin, Rahul, and Laxman. Also gautam plays well in his company.

Sachin, Dravid, and laxman will have to play innings of their life to save the test match at Lords.

Please not bashing for Schin. He has scored all the runs for India not for Australia.

Lousy fast bowlers in the team
by Hardliner on Jul 24, 2011 12:06 PM

India has genuine fast bowlers like Pakistan and other countries, but they never get the chance to play in the team. The following bowlers normally bowl around 140 kph, or more, but they will never play for India: Sudip Tyagi (UP), R.P. Singh (UP, played but kicked out), Kamran Khan (UP, Shane Warne's find) Umesh Yadav (Vidarbh), Varun Aaron (Jharkhand). Same old slow guys keep playing in the team inspite of zero fitness and injuries.

Accept you fail to deliver in CRISIS...
by Kirikkatwala on Jul 24, 2011 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

There's a news in Times of India...:"Sachin played with fever y'day...after getting out...he went to the hotel...had antibiotics and slept"...CRAZY...have you ever heard of any such news about Dravid or Laxman when they failed to deliver in crisis..I feel Sachin would have got so upset that his name is not going to come in the honours list.....

IT SEEMS YOU ALL ARE NOTHING BUT PCS OF GARBAGE. THAT IS WHY YOU PEOPLE WRITE ONLY CRAPS. IT IS MEDIA WHO TALK AND INFORM NONSENSE SACHIN NEVER TOLD THEM TO DO SO. SACHIN HAD MILD FEVER BUT IT WAS NOT SO SERIOUS. SACHIN NEVER TOLD ANY ONE BECAUSE OF FEVER HE GOT OUT. WHY YOU ALL FORGOT ACHIEVEMENTS OF THIS GREAT PLAYER. WHO WON SO MANY TEST AND ONE DAY MATCHES FOR INDIA. YOU PEOPLE ONLY TALK ABOUT HOW MANY TIMES INDIA LOOSE WHEN SACHIN MADE 100. IT IS A STUPID BLAME ON A PLAYER WHEN CRICKET IS A TEAM GAME. WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE WRITE WHEN SACHIN MADE 100 IF OTHER OR ONE OF OTHER PLAYER WOULD HAVE ALSO MADE 100 INDIA COULD HAVE SAVED OR WON THAT MATCH.

If he was sick -sachin should have rested and let a fit player play. Still wanted to try to get a hundred for selfish reasons.

We have to criticise Dhoni & selectors for taking Langda ghoda (Zahir khan) in place of S.Srisant in the team.

Harbajan the weak link
by neha enterprise on Jul 24, 2011 09:47 AM  | Hide replies

we are not clear why we are persiting with Harbajan, he is the weakest link in the indian team. Look at the performance of Harbajan after retirement of Anil Kumble, it is a medicore he should have been packed earlier

India's fortunes after 2000
by Pradip Rabindranath on Jul 24, 2011 09:21 AM

India's fortunes and return from misfortunes have always been drafted by Dravid, VVS, Ganguly, Shewag, Dhoni and Gambhir as far as batting is concerned. If anyone else has been highlighted more it would only be because the press would have been "paid" for the hype! I hope they dont bring in this "hype" when they decide who should be in the Bharath Ratna club.

I am no big fan of Waqar Younis but I like what he had said a few years back ... a Ten Thousand runs is good but they should be important and useful also!

Thanks,

Pradip

Why Dravid is so underrated..
by amitabh satapathy on Jul 24, 2011 09:19 AM  | Hide replies

I believe Dravid is way above Tendulkar if playing under difficult and crucial conditions are concerned. However he is not getting even a fraction of the attention. More than the test match, media and public are more interested in 100th century for Tendulkar and his getting the Bharat Ratna possibility. But, Dravid, always lost in that big cloud surrounding him throughout his career.

WHO MADE CENTURY IN PERTH AND SAVED MATCH DRAVID OR SACHIN. WHY YOU PEOPLE START WRITING CRAPS ABOUT A GREAT GENIUS SACHIN. HE IS NO ONE BATSMAN OF WORLD AND DRAVID IS A GOOD BATSMAN NO DOUBT ABOUT THIS. BUT I WANT TO ASK YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO DRAVID AGAINST MCGRATH AND WARNE IN AUSTRALIA WHY HE WAS FAILED AGAINST WASIM IN HOME SERIES? JUST FEW MONTHS BACK IN SOUTH AFRICA WHO WAS MAKING RUNS?

why dravid can not make 100 centuries does any one stopped him doing so? is this tendukar's fault if media is giving it so much of hype. sachin is a attacking cricketer and he loves to play on frontfoot and at lords bowl moves a lot so sachin's chances are more to get out early where dravid plays a waiting game all the time. sachin wanted a counter attack on english bowler in that process he got out so no big deal. it is a team game some time you are bound to get out early. it is every players duty to perform not sachin or dravid alone.

for sachin fans like u no other player has any value for what so ever.if a 3 players scores 100 in an innings u will say sachin's one the best bcoz of him we won a match and blah blah and u all easily sideline the other's equal or even more contribution than him.when sachin scores less runs its not a big deal for u and u blame someone else like now u r saying the conditions.

and MR whatever when dravid plays acc to his style people blame him, says he cannot play according to the situation.

now as u mentioned, yday sachin was playing in his natural style so i wanna ask u why couldnt he played according to the situation who told him to go after the bowlers and throw his wicket away? he is the senior most player in the team and such an irresponsible innings
