according to me the best innings ever played by an indian atleast in the last 40 years is vishy's unbeaten 97 in the chennai test on the first day against the west indies with only tailenders for company.said tony cozier of that innings. the sight of any fast bowler repeatedly batting the bat with sheer speed is always an exciting phenomenon, for a batsman confronted hostile & belligerent stuff is the stuff of which discerning cricket followers dreams were made, as vishy plundered roberts & co. to pull out india from trouble, there was a memory of ted dexter playing a similar innings against the fury of hall & grifith. dexter's innings will be always talked of one of the finest innings , so is viswanath's as he met force and force in an amazing display.

Now that Australia is quiet it seems It is the turn of England to speak as to who is great and who is not. Tell them to play Cricket and leave everything else to the Gamemanship. Every team will have have time to prove their worth and greatness. Over a period of time equation changes and accept the fact that Not one team will be great at all times. JUST Play Cricket in the spirit of the game
It is astonishing that Viv Richards doesnot find a place in the team.Perhaps he is the best and all conquering batsman of all times. And again Deness Lillee is ignored.Nomination through websites is no way you can choose the best team. Atleast ICC shouldnot have done this way.
