Dhoni was a right person to judge. Only one can stand long period in this wicket at the @ 2 runs per over, not 4-5 runs per overs. Raina was brought ahead, and was out. So all logical conclusion leads to Dhoni's excellent decision.

So you believe scoring 180 odd in 46 overs was ODI stuff? The aussies at their prime would score well over 4 runs per over without taking any risk in every test match and not playing ODI cricket as u say! And that is why they dominated cricket.

varun- everone has right to write what ever he wants. U also continue with dhoni mania- no one stop u to do it.
Indians are insecure. The approach of indians in all the aspects of life is NOT TO LOOSE. the approach "TO WIN" is never there. This is because we have been poor nation where a person first looks for security and not flamboyance . It is like a sword is hanging on your head and you have to perform. If you don'r perform you are a goner. you will not get any job etc etc. Else where in the world, if the person does not become a cricketer or anything else he still has alternative to earn 4-5000 dollars. So the approach is always aggresive. I think the next generation of india would be like that. so wait another 20 years to see winner approach

yeah indians should be foolish. When in war you reach a point where you are outnumbered, you should just go blind and get killed, but not retreat, regroup and then fight back. YOU ARE SO RIGHT.

The will to win 2-0 should have been there. It would not have made difference even if we had lost the match. because in the past we have won 1-0 drew and lost against west indies. Had we tried and won 2-0 it would have been really great

Yes it would Nirmal. That is where you get it all wrong. It would demoralize us for the Eng tour. Now the only complaint is that we are not so Aus like. And to the teams credit, they did try and when they realized that it wasnt going anywhere they stopped. I don't see an issue with it. It is a well judged decision. Keep your bag of expectations on the side and see.

No expecations Varun. Just a neutral view. Any side from developed country would have tried to win the match. Only Indians, Bangladeshis and Srilankans would go with such defensive approach.

More fantasy. I can bet my money a half strength aussie team would have done the same. Well forget a half strength, a full strength aussie team with hayden and gilli has done the same in the final day of a test in India. They tried to go for it, we pushed back and they stopped the chase after they lost a few wickets. So you are talking from fantasy land.

nirman- u are right. don't trust varun data & logic. He may give many misleading wrong data - as he can do any thing to prove that dhoni can't be wrong. I respect ur IQ because u understood varun after 3 comments & stopped arguing with illogical fan.
all tv channels, newspapers can make a good discussion/debate out of this for next 2 days, why dhoni did this, why that, why did not go for chase, etc. pathetic viewers will enjoy it as usual and the ad-sponsors will loot money as usual
