This is the difference between the aussies when they were 1st on the list and the indians who are No.1 in the team ranking. Aussies always demoralised the opposition and they would hv gone and won the match and series 3-0. Unless this killer instinct is there in the team they will not sustain on top for long.

I don't undersatnd why people are surprised. It is real dhoni always coward & having lack of confidence. He is always selfish & plays for records. He knows that he is in test team in name of captaincy & on playing ability he will never get a chance to play in test team(especialy overseas tour- check his last 6 series records). Hence no way he wants to loose the test as it will affect his position & all of his signed add contract

Its indian team & not pidii dhoni won won any cup. If captaincy could win cup- why india was out in 1st round of 2008 T-20 wcup, 2009 ICC ODI cup & 2010 t-20 wcup shamlesly loosing all matches under same piddi captain dhoni. its team who win matches & not captain. we won ODI series in WI when raina was captain. We won last test series in WI when dravid was captain. Captain doesn't amke any differebce if ur team is better than opposition. What is more imprtant is how he is performing as a player. Everyone one know he is a big failure in test & t-20 intl as a batsman

success as a captain is sheer luck not beacause of any leadership skill or "cool" captaincy as the media tells us...dhoni has benefited as captain because of the talent in the Indian team...look at all the batsman who have performed in the last 2-3 years one time or the other...gambhir, sehwag, sachin, zaheer, yuvraj in WC, etc....IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF DHONI
There should be a severe reprimand to Dhoni and Drawid whose attitude even in earlier matches when he was skipper reulted in absurd draws Dhoni has lost everyones respect and he should realize he is where he is because of cricket fans , the moment he starts taking them for granted his slide downwards will begin. I suppose he feels he has earned enough and now efforts to win are immaterial.
Drawid Laxman and Harbhajan should be dumped without any hesitation.

Cool christy. Dhoni should be dumped as he is always a liability as a batsman. Dravid & laxman are the only batsman (apart from sachin/sehwag) who can score on overseas pitches- even this series is example. So for god sake don't club excellent player & legnd like laxman/dravid with ordinary dhoni

dhoni is always the most defensive captain in history of indian cricket. He did same in SA & SLK series where delayed the declration in series decidor & went for draw. He is even more defensive than dravid as a cpatin. But our paid media never expose it

if u have performing player like sachin, gambhir, yuvi, zaheer etc & flat indian track, luck on ur hand- u can always win wcup even if ur captain is darpok & who clicks once a year as a batsman
I have heard some time back Dhoni saying that we do not play for records. But he has done the quite opposite by not opting to chase the target. It is difficult to understand the concept.

Dhoni always plays for records & try to save hisass. His slow inning in 2008/2010 T-20 wcup caused India exit inj 1st round. In SA & SLK series also he delayed declaration & went for draw. He is always a defensive captain surviving on luck & performance of others.

Well said. These type of things lead to controversial statements such as "fixing of matches".
finally dhoni has reflected his weakness as other biharis.his mind does not work now.winning streak is not the result of dhoni captaincy but it is fear in mind of every player to loose place if he does not perform as the bench has long waiting list.so dhoni should not be complecent and work with more sharp mind.he should remember "jo dar gaya woh mar gaya"
