World Cup

We would like India to lift the cut. But, I am afraid hosting team have never won the cup. Even, in the first round itself, India will get booted out of cup. If at all, they reach Semi Final, they don't win the cup

Congress desperately wants World Cup to start soon
by ashutosh gupta on Jan 29, 2011 10:24 PM

Once the world cup starts, media will be focussed on to that. and so no 2G, Thomas, Late revered Sonawane etc etc.

And Indians would be waiting to cheer more about his tandla's record.

Its only game of cricket by which Indians overcome their frustration for sometime

remember the saying

Action Speaks Louder Than Words goes a saying. This aptly fits to our indian cricket team. Let them not take for granted the other teams especially england and south africa. Its every indian wish that India wins the cup but performance is the need of the team and consistently.

Good Luck Indian Team.

Laxman has a fantastic record in ODI's. (86 Tests,2338 runs, 6 centuries, 10 50's, a strike rate of about 70, 39 catches) He is probably the only player with such a record never to have played a World Cup, thanks to morons like you who preferred players like Hemang Badani and Dinesh Mongia to him. You are unfit to take his name, forget commenting on his cricketing acumen

True, India are hot favourites for WC2011 but can they repeat 1983 victory is doubtful (especially after shoddy performance in SA), Moreover the 83'team was filled with all-rounders like kapil, gavaskar, amarnath etc
