I don't think that India would be able to clear the 1st round also!! M finding this particular team as the worst in all decades!!

donot want to say bad thing intentionally but ther is no chance that india can win world cup as i find that none of the bowler or batsman is consistent with his performance.

Consistency will be KEY TO iNDIA'S SUCCESS !!
by Savy Borges on Jan 30, 2011 01:54 AM

I THINK INDIA AS FAIR CHANCE mainly BECAUSE OF THE HOME ADVANTAGE AND CAN MAKE IT TO THE FINALS,CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT PAKISTAN AND OZ ARE NOT PLAYINGS SO WELL ITS SRI LANKA,ENGLAND AND S.AFRICA TO LOOK OUT FOR IF THE YOUNGSTARS PERFORM WELL AND consistantly theN THERE S NO STOPPING "MEN IN BLUE" FRM REACHING DE FINALS

ind is touted as favourite as seen since 1999 wc. but failted to live upto the expectations. so dont predict anything. ind entry into qf is fixed as its for other 8 teams. main matches knockout vl start frm qf, then its anybody's game.

Reality check....
by Manu Zach on Jan 30, 2011 01:23 AM  | Hide replies

Before saying anything on India's chances in the World Cup. let us take a reality check.
1. Sachin - Has played only 2 ODIs in about a year - Injured.
2. Sehwag - Never a reliable player - Injured.
3. Gambhir - Not in good touch for s long period now - Injured.
4. Raina - Had a torrid time in South Africa - Might fire in Indian conditions.
5. Yuvraj - More of a bowler now, than a batsman.
6. Yusuf Pathan - Only player in some kind of form of late.
7. Dhoni - Relies heavily on good starts - fails when bowling is consistent.
8. Harbhajan - Less said the better about this sardar's performance in recent years.
9. Zaheer - The only quality strike bowler - might get injured especially in humid conditions.
10. Piyush Chawla - Why the heck is this guy in the team??!!
11. Munaf Patel - God only knows when he will pick up a wicket and needs immense luck while fielding.
12. Ashish Nehra - Got carted around even in ideal bowling conditions by even inexperienced SA batsmen. Pathetic fielder.
Good Luck guys...!!!

India was struggling for form in the initial matches of World Cup 2003. But then they moved up to the finals.
