KRIS has a grudge against him. He will not care about the world cup. That is Indian politics in every game.

It is just said that Irfan did not report to camp for training. He says it was because of miscommunication.Missing of a camp is not a big enough reason for the country's cricket body to exclude him for ever, not even caring for the world cup. He is an allrounder, fit for the T20 version of the game and hence the business body of cricket like IPL4 has selected him.Cricket board lacks business sense as well as national pride.
Please do not use doubtful unavaialability of Sachin as a means to include your Vijay along with Sachin and do not spoil the hane of a good alrounder player.Keep your Vijay as a reserve and call him as a replacement only in case Sachin pulls out because of injury. Now enough of your regional politics. It is a world game.
In fact you may be spoiling the career of Vijay by pushing him too early into the team.

You said it!!
Dhoni is trying to score good in SriKanth's green book by doing anything to please him!!
Dhoni is planning to include a couple of his team mates from IPL Chennai team! This is only spoiling the Indian team! Please do make selection a regional political IPL affair!!!

why will you give a chance to player in world cup, whose batting avg 19 and strike rate 64?

Vijay has good technique, but does not know to rotate strike or hit the balls in the no man area.He gets out by catches .youngsters need to work out their weak links..but to play for India , u must be far more relible and impressive.further who is the reason..no openers are impressive and openers are more susceptibe to injuries.. and for ipl Sachin ,Sehwag always play well.without injuries

Why you make contradikshon? "Vijay has good technique, but does not know to rotate strike or hit the balls in the no man area.He gets out by catches"
50/60 runs once in 9/10 matches and considered back in form... now he can play another 10 matches before scoring another 50 score to be considered back in form...
1. virendra sehwag - any 1s fav in dream odi team 2. sachin tendulkar - GOD 3. gautam gambhir - nice pacer floater batsman 4. virat kohli - 1st gutsy youngster batsman of ind 5. yuvraj singh - arguably gr8st matchwinner talent stock ever 6. suresh raina - man he's a missile man attacker gutsy yougster 7. dhoni - krishna lucky mascott to pandaavs hard hitter 8. yousuf pathan - need plyrs like him match winner within balls bowlr2 9. harbhajan singh - spin web match winner too 10.praveen kumar - gr8 exponent of swing reverse n other 1 bowling 11.zaheer khan - jus look at his face when bowling ,TOUGH man
12.munaf patel - attitude and bowling is gud 13.ashwin - probably best spinner after bhajji in ind odi 14.ishant sharma - i hv lways said he's talented n guts won us atest 15.ojha-gutsy too never gives

much appreciated talent experiences 11 players.
benches players are not good enough. ishant- failure despite given him 30-40 chances in all format of the game, he shouldn't play international match at all. ashwin- inexperience for international team and too early for worldcup. worldcup is not about to risk. there is no bench player who can bat.

this is a batting rich team with 8 genuine batters with 3 allrounders , so all 11 can bat , in indian conditions , zak , pk gud bowlers n bhajji , yosuf, raina, yuvi , sehwag spinners slow bowlers in indian pitches.
i will wish india lose world cup and didn't qualify semi if they give chance to vijay whose avg 19 and strike rate 64 in 11 inns and yet to score single 50's in his career. enough is enough.. how much you tolerate chiika dirty politics.. this is not enough even dhoni is also do certain politics while picking up team. i won't surprise india lose match bc of politics and wrong team selection
Re: vijay and chikka enough of this nonsense
by cijil john on Jan 17, 2011 07:07 AM
Yes. If we have 3 openers(Sachin,Sehwag,Gambhir)then what is the need of another opener who is not an attacking batsman.
You always need a surprise bowler fast/spin, to win big matches. Like Munaf as performed in the recent match. u need pick a good surprise spinner like Ojha/chawla.

This is exactly what I am looking for. But the Playing 11 should be little altered as SSachin should open with Gambhir and Kohli to follow. Yusuf should be used in lot many matches where you see the wicket is a more turning wicket.
