Lolers.. for all people who are saying he is playing for records and selfish... lemme tell you some basics of cricket first. cricket is a team game. A team should bowl well, bat well, field well to win a series .A batsman can win one, two or few matches in a series but not all the matches for the obvious reasons.
If he is playing for records, howcome he was the man of the series in 2003 world cup.His average in world cup is 58 . WHAT RECORD HE HAS BEEN TRYING TO ESTABLISH SINCE 3 WORLD CUPS?? ANSWER IS WORLD CUP TO INDIA. he wants to bring world cup to India and u people still blame him.
you never blame the remaining 10 members who dont contribute.
Replacement of Sachin should be someone more orthodox in shot making and selection. With pacy tracks, need orthodox player to be at crease while facing tsobe and steyn. Best of luck india for rest of the match.

I think selectors should look for young players like Mansih Pandey. I have seen him playing, great talent & quality batsmen & filder.
Joke of the year is that the kiddo Parthiv is being sent as replacement. What will poor kid do against steyn and co. They are not Venkatesh Prasads. Looks like these are days of commission players like M Vijay an Parthiv Patel - thanks to zonal quota systems
IF sachin injury is critical and cannot be included in the WC 15 memeber squad then it would be better to call back Rahul dravid so that experience replaced by an experience.. wot say guys

Yes I would agree Rahul is a solid batsman who could replace Sachin or even for that matter Laxman
Dravid or Laxman are good players for a 50 over match..remember it's not like 20-20 world cup One needs to stbilise their innings mid-way which will be crucial for victory. I still hope sachin plays, there's no batsman like him when he gets going..:)

Nehra is not doing too much..we should find a better bowler some one with a good pace and swing..nehra bowling is readable to No 11 player

Irfan does not even play for Baroda. He has been rejected at Ranji level! On what basis do you want him back?

well this was in regard of sachin tendulkar.... robin uttappa was a beeter option as replacement...and irfan pathan should be taken incases of ravindra jadeja.. irfan is much better than ravindra jadega.

Robin played very badly in Ranji and kka lost to Baroda heavily. V will have to see him in next ipl only

Irfan Pathan has not played Ranji Trophy for an year, he has not played any first class cricket since IPL 2010.
Sachin is a very great player and he should concentrate on WC2011..we need him lets pray for him that he will shine in WC with 3-4 double hundreds as it is happening in India

Viru,Gambhir,Yuvraj,Zaheer,Nehra. Others do not have much of fitness issues. If Sachin is not fit,it will not affect our chances much in World Cup.We have a good strength in ODis.
