bcoz MI retained max players.. their balance to buy got depleted.
that's why they could not buy saurav tiwari.
same with CSK.

Players in teams do not matter
by Vijay Singhal on Jan 10, 2011 02:49 PM

Actually they have collected 11 players in each team, just to play T-20 cricket, local or no local, national or outsider. It is pure circus for money. Don't search any other meaning.

We will miss the prince of Kolkota forever, as we will not see him play cricket anymore. Hope he joins cricket board or the national academy or the Congress Party

Those who are buying Players they should be punishment.
by mahapatrasushant on Jan 10, 2011 02:40 PM  | Hide replies

Government and the citizen of India should concentrate about that those who are buying Players in Auction. Those persons keep much more money in their own account as the result Poor people suffers financially. So Govt should keep a law that one person should keep money in a limit amount. if he will break this law then he should be hang or (zero)property owner finally. If he wants keep more money then he should expense money in public welfare.

Mistakes the 4 Southern Franchisees made:
by vathula on Jan 10, 2011 02:38 PM  | Hide replies

Kochi: No good indian batsmen
Deccan: No good Indian batsmen; also who is the captain?
Bangalore: Missed a local Dravid or Uthappa; not many good indian batsmen. Who is the captain? Kohli or Vettori?
Chennai: Missed out on Abhimanyu Mithun. Not a big mistake compared to the other 3

When will we know about the uncapped players list?

Further, Aniruddha is better than Sathish I feel as he is a good pinch hitter like his Dad.

Satish is destructive; also bowls; one of the best fielders in the world. If Hussey is not available then, Anirudha can play releasing Tygi for a overseas bowler.

He shined in ICL no doubt, but when he played for MI last IPL3, he did not impress much.

Further, I think retaining Tyagi for such a hefty buy was not needed by CSK. Instead they should have gone for Mithun as you rightly said. Tyagi proved how costly he was in all the matches he played, he just has raw pace and does not uses his head to bowl slow balls, in other words he has no variation.

Satish is playing well for TN while Anirudha is even dropped. For MI, Satish did not get the right chances. Anyway, as a No.6 or No.7 not much to choose. So, bowling/ fielding palys a part.
Re. Tyagi
CSK was desparate for a indina fast bowler; they missed on all like Balaji, Undkat, Abhimanyu who all came on auction before Tyagi.
Also, Bravo is avialble only for 2 weeks, so after he leaves, Kula or Hilfenhaus will play i/o Bravo. Then Tygai can be dropped and a batter in

Jadeja's bowling is better than his batting. His batting has never been great. Dhoni says the same thing abt him. You need 3 or 4 Indian bastmen. Where are they? Laxman, Parthiv, then?? Kochi shud have bot Ganguly

I feel CSK should have retained Parthiv instead of buying Saha !! Parthiv has given great starts every time he was asked to open the batting.

I agree. But then, parthiv may not play in XI. anyway, it is not a huge miss.
