IPL is business and if a owner feels sum1 is a burden then why shud be buy the player.
Everyone knows Ganguly was not retained due to the problems he creates in the team. If he is bought by a franchise then he shud be made the captain, if he is not the captain he does a cry baby in media telling lies like he did when he was removed from KKR captaincy, he went on to say that he was not informed that he will not captain KKR in second edition. Immediately after this came in media, Buchanan clarified that not only he but even SRK had told him he would not be a captain and after this clarification, Ganguly did not utter a word about this. But created problems in the team. Also his playing dot balls created problems for batsmen at the crease and to follow.
Whats the use if a cricketer is not a team player? Why would any franchise want a egoist player inside their dressing room.

nobody dared to do anything when Azhar was fixing matches..he dared to remove the stupid fixers and build a team ...we are still reaping the benefits even today,
yuvi,sehwag,zaheer,bhajji,gambhir,dhoni,munaf,parthiv,balaji,mishra,piyush are all finds of ganguly...and since 1999 after the fixing controversy we had leader for the first time after kapil who dared to look the opposition in the eye and encouraged his juniors to do so...yes hez arrogant but thts a requirement of a leader..and the passion of the game... these businessmen give two hoots abt indian cricket..the day they r not making enough money they will dump one player for the other...players like Sachin,ganguly,dravid,sehwag,kapil,Sunny,would be harder to find by find by the day...just wait for 5-6 yrs for these cricketers to retire to see the fate of indian cricket down the drains.. good luck with your ideologies
Let us all accept the fact that Ganguly has lost his shine. Let curtains be drawn on the past,whatever it was, lets look forward to a good game. Ganguly or no Ganguly, the game makes a player a star. A player doesnt make the Game. So guys, cheer up and look forward to a good game ahead!

What were the strike rates of Kallis/Dravid/laxman and plenty of others in this auction bought for higher prices...?...go chk the figures b4 u comment...Also Dada was the highest scorer for KKR last season...what were the other batsmen in the team doing...busy getting out or posing for pics or partying or in worse case sucking SR_GAY's Boner...
without Dada KKR would not cross 120 in most matches...he has been the best performer for kolkata in 2 out of the 3 ipl seasons played so far in an otherwise rotten team...
What is this bullshit about sympathy for Ganguly.All the 10 teams didnot even think he was worthbidding for (which gives one an indication how useless he is) .Are the people who have sympathy for him trying to suggest that sodapop Ganguly shd be taken with Jor Jabardasti?
That does not work and if anyone thinks that way let them buy a team,taken ganguly and see the consequences,Topic is over.

You know last year ganguly is fourth highest run getter. ganguly is one of 7 indian players have in icc odi team probables.
