Take over by over, hour by hour and session by session. Don't be overly aggressive or defensive. Just play good test cricket. Punish the bad balls and respect the good ones. Be positive. Am sure we may be able to save or even win this match with a ve frame of mind.

Wow! There is no dearth of great cricket strategists in India, no matter whether one has ever held a cricket bat or not!

B M: Thanks for the compliment! I haven't even seen a cricket bat in my life other than on TV
India could have done much better when tendulkar was playing a critical role while batting, dhoni didnt support or tried to stay with him for sometime, otherwise india could have taken a lead of 100 plus but the way dhoni played is totaly waste as an indian captain thankfull to harbajan atlest tried something for the country, and the match is still alive because of the master sachin,he played an innings of his career.now the rest is with luck, india can only survive if sachin, dravid and laxman plays a big role

that means INDIA to make 190 or less.. may be 150 & lose by 190 runs but they can't draw it..if they are 75/4 or 80/5 like that in 30-32 overs then it will be impossible to save the match for INDIA so for that INDIA needs to have a score like 120/2 or 130/3 after around 45 overs or so to draw it and even after that they may collapse & if they are like 215/7 or 220/8 after 80-82 overs then it will be a nailbiting finish whether INDIA will be play out those last 10 overs with new bowl with steyn bowling and INDIA 7 down.. tough luck INDIA today..they have uphill task today for them to save this series.. onus is on LAXMAN in 2nd innings as he plays better in 2nd innings than 1st one but once if he fails & got out early then it will be all over for INDIA as none other will stay there for a day to save this like gavaskar used to do it..

in this case I can't see bhajji zaheer & ishant playing out a good amount of balls say around 50, 40 & 25-30 respectively atleast to save the match after say INDIA 6 down in around 50-52 overs & almost 40 overs to play with 4 wickets in hand, INDIA will be able to save in that case.. so for that our first 5 down batsmen need to play out atleast 75 overs to ensure a draw else problem ahead.. 200/5 after 75 overs & then INDIA can see a draw but with 135/6 after 50-52 overs.. they will be nearing defeat..

if australia can do 331 and win, india can do 340 and win. sehwag has to give a base and harbhajan has to be promoted in batting order while dravid bhas to be sent in later to save the test if needed

Good theory my dear friend. But Practically it is not possible. We are not playing against Bangladesh. Remember.
leave aside the chase records,,, are there any records of survivals in 4th innings which will interest the BCCI team. Probably the scarecrow ishant should be made to open innings to get back the runs he donated, you cant win matches just with batsmen , need bowlers who have the pace and stamina- unlike the specimens this team has. Irfan pathan and Nehra would have performed much better..
nehra and munaf are far better than ishant and unadkat. they shud have played in SA. Indian selectors are nothing but corrupt and to some extent idiot.
