dnt even mention sehwag....such a waste against goood teams in foreign conditions...he can hit 2 or 3 boudaries...dts ol...
Superb knock by Kallis...Indian bowlers failed to restrict SA ...Had the score 250 it would have been contestable..341 Looks huge on such a pitch on day 5th.(4 lbws in SA second innings..2 bolds, ball is keeping low it seems)..Going to be interesting match...And folks enough of SRT ..Wht all othr players r doingin team..Time for Rahul, Dhoni, Pujara, Veru to do something better...all the time SRT, Laxman can not help...

apart from that epic partership against austrailia how many times have laxman and dravid jodi won matches for india? can you name other instances? even 2-3 will do.. waiting...

No need to be sarcastic. Just check out this series and the last two or three series, you will find at least 2 or 3 match winning knocks from Laxman alone.

Salil's response was to NIFTY... In case you agree with him, then answer Salil's question... he is still waiting apparently... and you don't still have the answer apparently... :)
BTW, what do you mean by match winning knocks? Hitting the winning runs? :)
Coz I bet you that even Laxman can't scale a target of 484 in one day... agreed? :)

No Winning and loosing is always Team result...Its a team sport..Laxman, Rahul r great batsman..But u remember wht happened in first Test few weeks ago.. Do you..??
Entire series Shewag has been tamed by SA bowlers..This is last opportunity in this series to redeem himself. India need to change the batting order..Laxman needs to come at Dravid position, followed by Sachin and then Pujara..Rahul and Dhoni should play to save the match in that situation arises..If we blast 100 for no loss we will win or else it will be a draw...I do not see India loosing :-)

Considering Gauti is inured , laxman should open with Veru..rest of the order seems fine...And if first wkt makes good partnership, then Bhajji should be promoted at no 3 for quick fire...Its very very diff to win on this pitch on day 5 with 342 to Win...

Actually,we should bring Pujara at number 3,last time he played well against Australia.

Sehwag should go after SA's bowling. If Viru gets out, try Bhajji as a pinch hitter or at least to score fast at No.3. If Bhajji gets out Dravid and Laxman are there to play out the remaining overs for a draw.

@Bada Bhai: Well why I do not see India loosing is because te SA last 4 batsman (tail) contributed 241 runs, so the pitch has lost all the monster factor..India needs to survive first 15 overs and once the ball is old, thats it..Win or a Draw only..
Re: Re: Re: Stage set for Shewag

Actually they made 211 but yeah u got point..Last 4 players made 211 in almost 56 overs and Kallis played almost 34 overs outta that..and Boucher played 13 overs...So pitch is not gettign any better..Its the pair Kallis -Boucher played real well..
Re: Re: Re: Re: Stage set for Shewag

My statistics mistake Kallis played 27 overs and Boucher plaed 13 plus ..outta those 56 overs....Tey both steadied the innings for SA
if dravid sachin lax and dhoni can make 50 plus then v hav a chance of winnin dis contest...othrs r useless even gambhir...his 93 ws full f edgy shots...
RPO 3.77, i.e., 4 runs per over Need to score 170-200 before lunch, losing 1 or 2 wickets Need at least 4 to 5 runs per over post lunch within battling line up to 6th or 7th position...the TASK is real tough and only we can hope for the best....
Tomorrow it will be battle against Steyn and Morkel Versus Laxman, Dravid and Tendulkar. If Sehwag can contribute mere 50, definetly, Result will not be in favor of RSA.

Kandpal:
;-)... you think batting on this pitch was easy? SA struggled to reach 341 even against bowlers like Zak (bowling at 120 kph) and Ishant (gifting no balls and wides and short dollies)... I rest my case... :)
