Dhoni should be made the coach of the team, because -
* He is a worthless player, * He does not give a damn about winning or losing as he has already become the RICHEST CRICKETER in the World, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, * He plays Politics on and off the field, but he needs to be associated with the Team, because-
* He is nowadays known for his famed LUCK, * Stats show that he is very successful (what a Shame).
so he should be there after Kirsten leaves. What do u think fellows?
Dhoni didn't appeal despite English captain edged the ball twice and why should Dhoni bothers to appeal if he already declares that he is dying with fatigue. This shows his intansity level and also that he is not able to motivate his team mates. I guess he thought it might increase his fatigue and in that case he might miss the opening IPL match ! what a mess this Dhoni is..I was a great fan of Dhoni but now I feel that he needs some rest and Indian selectors should give him a long break (1 year) so that he stops complaining about motivation and fatigue. He already tarnished the image of world cup by tagging it a 'ordinary tournament'. What a pity !
Hi mates..Dhoni's words before the wold cup was sheer complacency and Indian cricket team is in the wrong hands right not...a "contented" captain who just doesn't feel that world cup is a BIG TOURNAMENT and complaining about fatigue before the world cup, concerned about next IPL season...needs to look seriously about his career as a cricketer because if world cup can't motivate you then what else can?

Laden with assumptions. Indian fans will never mature up. Everybody in india is an expert. Too funny.
Indian can play with 5 batsmen and including Ashwin in place of Chawla and Nehra in place of a extra batsmen.Pick any 1 batsmen from these Gambhir/kohli/Raina.Also Pathan shud be promoted before Dhoni

After a match we can always say stuff like that. Captains dont get that liberty. :)

Doubt this, Dhobi will make excuse of need for solidity, with Dhoni,Yuvi, Virat Kohli. If Yuvi does not play then Dhobi would ask Raina to come b4 Pathan. Also PAthan is human so like others he needs few deliveries to get settled and then have a go, but the position Pathan is playing is f no help to batting side, as if Pathan remains thaat means there won't b any batsmen to follow, and if first 3-4 players score then they don't need PAthan. Dhobi should've tried whats the word appeal when Strauss edged twice, probably looks like tie result was pre-decided, or else he mite've won which was undesired result.

Still, anybody here will say Sachin should retire as he plays for his records not for the team or he can play only against minnows! If our bowling and fielding is ordinary, then it is not a fault of this genius. So feel proud that Sachin is a legend of our country and we are enough lucky to watching him live while playing...
Yesterday's real winner was cricket and technically a morale booster for England .Indian captaincy was just a clear case of blame game and never looked or spoke like a captain in fact he just gives a cut copy paste reasons other than that no morale booster for poor Indian team mates it will lose in quarterfinals if the attitude continuous. And England a standing ovation good cricket.
Dhoni seems to think he is still a big bat to come in instead of Kohli. Sending Yuvi ahead of Kohli was fine as the situation was set for Yuvi. But since when has Dhoni outstroked and outhit Kohli? Dhoni is living in the past if he thinks he can score faster than Kohli or even Pathan. Just like Sourav was dumped hard by Dhoni, Kohli is going to remember this slight and dump Dhoni even harder when he becomes the captain. As it is Dhoni for now is a unidimensional player - just contributes in wicket keeping - even that is being too kind to him. All limited over players have to excel in two categories to be able to get the nod for the national team. His captaincy is also pathetic - even the canadian captain knew that keeping 5 players in the circle will restrict the English scoring - it needed Strauss to take the power play that brought the fielders in that turned the tide for India otherwise people had already switched channels by then. His only positive as a captain is that his face is always expressionless even in a tight situation - but if you balance that against his mediocre stratgic and tactical decisions it is not enough.

lol. We saw what pathan did. Patha is not going to hit every attack out of the ground. If it is in his zone, yes.

I think the expressionless face is not because of a calm arising from wisdom but more a reflection of total least bothered about India winning or losing.

Rajneet, your hate reflects in your comments. Atleast when you criticize someone, make it constructive. You are ranting instead. pathetic.

Pathan was equally confused. He was trying to slam every ball. And we all know what happened. May be, its the pressure of expectations getting to him

There was no other option that time for Yusuf.. If he gets couple of overs to set, then he is biggest hitter in the team.

Same applies to dhoni and yuvraj does it not ? On that wicket, everyone needed to get set before attempting huge shots. The ball did stop a bit.

Very true. He appeared clueless, confused and dumb. Early on in the English batting session, he was readjusting his field for every ball. Looked pathetic that he did not have an overall strategy of attack. He should have brought his fielders in around the 30th over. Why didn't he give that a try at all? Dada would have done that. Instead he just sat like a passive observer, doing nothing.
Re: Re: DHoni beware

He did not look confused initially. When every combination he tried still resulted in 6 per over, he fell back to his old routine of down to the wire. That is what i feel after hearing zaheers comments. I believe if atleast one bowler had bowled well or the wicket had spinned a bit, he would have attacked.
