eng vrs india

The result has pushed inside the carpet weakness of both the teams. India should have scored atleast 360. Indians were 180 in the 30th over by simple logic 360 plus or minus 10 is the expected score. The person to be blamed was mr Yuvi. At one sachin was picking up singles and rorating the strikes. Instead of going for big hits yuvi too was satisfied with taking singles. Even loose deliveries were not punished. The next one for the indias poor performance is Mr. Baji, over hyped player. He has lost his bite and now he is an liablity rather than an asset. Any how we have to manage with these guys only. Any how we will be in the QF and if we finish top we can play kiwis who is expected to finish fourth. If any finish other than that will force us to play a strong opposition in the QF. Now there is no time to go for experiment. So coach should instruct the players that one should rotate the strike and the other should go after the bowlers. Our bowling is too ordinary. We are playing with just 4 bowlers only. It may prove costly some where.

Yuvraj's batting was pathetic, in spite of the strike rate being high because of gifted boundaries through short bowling. His batting against spinners was very poor and that shows in the number of dot balls he gave after 30 overs. To an extent one can understand this as he has been short of runs and confidence. But he should learn from this and change in the next games.

The two runouts also contributed to being 5-6 runs short in the end.

Eng managed the runs because of the defensive field setup tried by Dhoni, which leaked ones and twos.

Shame on you Selectors.
What strategies you are adopting while selecting a team.
We claim to lift the world cup 2011, but we are not having lethal bowling attack. A nation with over 100 crores population and where cricket is the common religion, but we don't have bowlers who can take 10 wickets to win the match. With the result of yesterday's match it is open secret that even if India score 1000 runs batting first, the opposition can easily win the match.

Shame on you SELECTORS.

Wake up now to fulfill the dreams of winning the World Cup.

When totals like 338 could not be defended then where can we place the Indian bowling attack? Pakistanis defended 277 with style..much to learn from that performance

@Mahi u r right but u also know that the match played between Pakistan & Sl at Colombo, pitch was different then Bangalore pitch...if curator make batting paradise wicket then the bowler cant do too much in the game...that happened yesterday..

DHONI & CAPTAINCY:
by Srinivasan Renganathan on Feb 28, 2011 09:15 AM  | Hide replies

Dhoni is a spent force in Indian cricket. But, only due to his luck factor and a better team, he is sticking to the chair. His contribution is almost nil or even negative in the past two years. He is now more egoistic & sees that current from players like Raina or Kolhi gets chopped or thier batting order schuffled in every second match. He also dosent like Yusuf Pathan to get more opportunities ahead of his friend Yuvraj. Unless he gets injured & either parthiv patel of Uthappa replaces him, it is tough times for Indian cricket.
His foolish tactics & blunders in the past two years have cost Indian drawing or loosing many easy matches.

ENGLAND-WEAKEST TEAM IN BATTING:
by Srinivasan Renganathan on Feb 28, 2011 09:10 AM  | Hide replies

If Indian team cannot get rid of the useless England batting that too on scoring 338 runs then only GOD can save us from playing against teams like Sri Lanka, Pakistan who are better players of spin & South Africa who have a much stronger line up than the useless English team.

Munaf patel had done some big mistakes........
1) one short run
2) poor running while fielding
3) missed one runout chance of swan on 48th over
4)he didn,t know, how to bowl to a 9th batsman

BOWLING PROBLEMS:
by Srinivasan Renganathan on Feb 28, 2011 09:00 AM

For the next few games against minnows, Raina, Kolhi & Sewhag should been given more opportunities to bowl so as to have more options & flexibility in the bowling front. Oherwise it will be too late in the knockout stages.

USELESS CAPTAINCY: TIME FOR SELECTORS TO INTERFERE:
by Srinivasan Renganathan on Feb 28, 2011 08:55 AM  | Hide replies

Useless captaincy by Dhoni ruined today’s match. When England got off to a good start, in the first power play, what was the need for that useless Dhoni to take the second power play from 11th to 15th over? Was that mandatory?. It could have very well been taken at the fall of the second wicket, which would have also increased the run rate at that stage itself. Secondly, Piyush Chawla is an overrated bowler. Aswin, if selected can even open the bowling with Zaheer, which can take India atleast upto the Semi-Finals.
Also, promoting Yuvraj & Dhoni ahead of Virat Kohli & Yusuf Pathan had cost India atleast another 25 runs. Unless, Dhoni mends his politics, Indian team is going to suffer in this world cup.
The best combination presently is
1.      Sewhag
2.      Tendulkar
3.       Gambhir
4.      Kolhi
5.      Pathan
6 .      Raina
7.      Dhoni
8.       Harbhajan
9.      Ashwin
10.      Zaheer
11.       Nehra or Munaf.

Indian bowiling is not week it is your captain who doesn't know simple rules of captaincy otherwise even a club captain would have won the match by applying all his fielder around 30 yard line and stopping twos and ones and encouraging bats man to take risk to score runs (3 fielders who are out of 30 yard should be kept just outside 30 yard line and not on boundary )from the first over !
He used the fielders on boundary and the result was that the English batters took ease ones and two and kept the run rate over 6.5 throughout the match, they didn't took risk and why should they if your captain is fool like Dhoni !
