can sumone explain wy Bell was given not out when replays shows tht the ball was in line and hitting middle and of??R these rule only for sub continent teams and different rules for white teams??

Bell was leaning forward. The distance from the point of the contact to the wickets was 2 and half feet, and the review system calculated the ball would go over the stumps due to the 2 and feet distance.
This is a flaw in the review system. That was an out for a human eye but the review system thought otherwise. Billy should have ruled it out.

but the third umpires r not there to use their brain.they only have to see wht review system suggest and give decision accordingly.for the brainy decision we have 2 umpires on field.so if replays suggest the ball was hitting stumps then batsman is out.If third umpire has to make his own decision then whs the fun of tv replays and udrs system and hawk eye???then we can stick only to on filed umpires..

1) If the ball hits the pad more than 2.5 meters from the wicket, that does not make the Hawk eye non functional.
Even though the ball struck Ian Bells pad more than 2.5 mtr away from the wicket, the Hawk eye showed clearly that it would have hit the lower half of the middle stump.
2) The reason the 2.5 meter clause has been put in the UDRS system is because the hawk eye can NOT accurately predict the path of 'SWINGING' balls. Because swing bowlers (like Akram) could make a seemingly straight delivery take a last microsecond wild turn and crash the stumps.
3) If after review a TV umpire is convinced that the ground umpire's original decision is wrong, the TV umpire CANT OVERRULE the ground umpire's decision 'if the ball hit the pad more than 2.5 mtrs from the wicket'.
As per UDRS rules if the ball hits the pad more than 2.5 meters from the wicket, the TV umpire's decision is NON BINDING on the ground umpire. The TV umpire can only RETURN the decision to the ground umpire saying, "Hawk eye shows the ball hitting the mid (leg/off stump). My decision is OUT. However because the the ball struck the pad more than 2.5 mtr away from the stumps I do not have the authority to reverse your decision. As the ground umpire u have the choice to stick with your original decision or reverse your decision".
The FIELD umpire CHOSE to stick to original NOT OUT decision n asked Bell to bat on. He could have changed his decision n declared OUT to
Can England chase this total against bangladesh or Ireland ........... i Think no..... it is only against India any tomDikHarry can chase 300 plus run courtesy Captain Dhoni and Chamcha Bowlers

once I came to know that sachin hit a century, I said to my frnds that India is not going to win the match... and at the end I was right
IND Vs ENG Match Tied! Points 1-1 Like Football. Both the Managers (Coaches) must be asking questions form there Defence (Bowling) because this is cricket and a tie in cricket is like 5-5 in Football which is highly unlikely and very insulting for either sides.
Lost the match because Dhoni did not promote Pathan. Pathan hit 14 off 7 balls by pacers. If he had faced the spinners, he would have hit a 30 ball 50 today! That ass_hole Yuvraj played for himself, not for the team!
People who are angry at Sachin today should be put in a mental asylum!

Indeed. He Should be. Despite proven that India is a far better side then England, they have recieved bamboozing from them. Reason being Players prepare themselves more fit for IPLs and Indian Fast bowlers are really save there fitness to elongate there careers no matter they give only 25 percent.

I can understand the anguish of getting hit for 2 huge sixers when the team is fighting to save the match.
What I cant understand is the bowler getting so excited on claiming the marauding batsman's (Bresnan's) wicket to the point that he actually goes down on one knee and starts mast_urbating with his right hand. Looked like Piyush was beating it real hard.
Was that a first on a cricket ground? Any of you guys ever celbrated by beating it in the ground?
My question to Dhoni..name the Indian bowler who performed so well in these two matches that you had to drop Sreesanth and bring in an inexperienced Chawla…you have to nurture a bowler like Sreesanth..he is a genuine wicket taking bowler..even Zaheer was smacked around in the first spell..so if you instill confidence in a bowler, he can make a comeback..I agree with some of our retired cricketers that Sreesanth needs to be backed up..then only he can take wickets in crunch situations..Dhoni has played on the minds of Sreesanth and he has spoiled the camaraderie..with this club-level bowling , can anyone be so naïve to think India still have a chance..even people who do not have much knowledge of cricket can predict India’s fate.. I learned Dhoni’s father was quoted saying that India are favorites to win WC..poor soul..he forgot that miracles do not happen every time… Absolutely shoddy bowling and fielding performance by Indians..at this rate I guess India wont’ make it beyond semis..as usual…they do not deserve the WC with poor bowling attack

Indian fast bowllers never Genuin. All of them bowl at a much lower pace then they can to streatch there careers and says that they have reduced there pace for better line and length. How Cheats.

By the way I am not telling that Sree is a great bowler..but then you have to got to use your resources well..keeping all personal egos away from the game
I think Dhobi should be given a tight slap on his face, what he was trying to do ?
What was his strategy - never ever tried to put pressure on england when he had 338 runs to defend, if it was bangladesh or any other minnow team they could have win.
didn't he saw the last match of england how they struggled against a minnow team ....
Two match in a row where opposition team is able to score 300 plus run against India while chasing, either they should improve their Captaincy plus fielding and bowling or take a complimentary exit from world cup ?

With 338 runs on the board, Dhoni should have brought the field up and tightened the things. Strauss and Bell would have gone for big hits but that's the best chance to pick wickets too.
Until the 43rd over when England opted for batting power play, Dhoni let England score boundaries every over.
Of the 50 overs India bowled, India did well only for 6 overs from 43rd to 48th which earned India a tie and a point.
