Horrible performance by Team BCCI
by madhav deshpande on Feb 28, 2011 12:17 AM  | Hide replies

They reaaly batted bad. They were 252 at the end of 41 overs with 8 wkts in hand. Had some of them paid attention to singles after loosing Yuvi, Dhoni and Yusuf India would have not have been bowked out and scored at least 10 -15 runs in last 4 overs. The tailenders were trying to be a suoper hero and trying 2 hit everything out of park ! Bowlers were pathetic. Same Engilsh team was bowled out for 200 by irish bowlers! Team BCCI cant be dreaming of wining CWC they dont deserve it.

Lost the match because Dhoni did not promote Pathan. Pathan hit 14 off 7 balls by pacers. If he had faced the spinners, he would have hit a 30 ball 50 today! That ass_hole Yuvraj played for himself, not for the team!

People who are angry at Sachin today should be put in a mental asylum!

Seeing that Sachin has won us the World cup the last 4 times with his batting, I dont see how we can ever win without Sachin's batting.

Thank you for asking.

India's captaincy is the weakest in the world, below Ireland, Netherlands and Bangladesh. Nothing wrong with our bowling. We have two world class bowlers in Zaheer and Harbhajan and at least 4 part time bowler cum specialist batsmen. If you cannot beat B Grade teams with this combination, then you really need to look at the quality of India captaincy or lack of.

India may have the best batting lineup in the world.ButIndia has the weakest fast bowling attack among the top tier test playing nations. Only the batsmen and spinners can't win the world cup.Indian fielding is also not world class.

Sharing a point with England, I can't take it.
by Another Critic on Feb 28, 2011 12:05 AM

Drop catches, misfields, no appeals from behind for the nicks, reviews going against India are the things coming out of India-England encounter.

Don't our tail enders use their brain when they bat? You run for a two, don't drag your bat on to the crease, get runout, add no run and lose final wicket with a ball to spare?

Score 338 and still can't win it. 2 points should have been ours because India is a better team than England. I can't take India sharing a point with England.

Good captains do not make changes for changes sake.

Unfortunately for India, a Dhobi is the captain. He will always promote himself up when the sun is shining. Why Pathan was not promoted up instead of the Dhobi is plain to see for all !
