Petulant Ponting at it again! The man has no class or dignity. He is supposed to represent the face of Australia and obviously doing a bad job of it.He forever questions umpires, argues with opponents about fairplay and is generally rude yet never gets ticked off by ICC. Why is this man more equal than others? Readers may recall Ponting groping a female journalist in Kolkata years ago and also being dumped outside a night club in Sydney's Kings Cross with a blackened eye a few years later! He may be a great batsman but his image as a leader of the Australian team is pathetic! A man like Mike Hussey lends a lot of dignity to this Australian team where many like Johnson,Siddle,Watson,Haddin & Bollinger lack good grace and sportsman spirit! These players reflect Ponting.
Actually the TV did it! Got up from the ground and attacked Ponting in the body, so he threw his kit to distract it, and that's how the kit landed on the TV and the latter somehow got broken!!!
As I said earlier, another "milk and water" sentence for the Aussie captain...joining the long and illustrious line of misbehaving Aussies already in that line. Even Ian Chappell is getting disgusted w/this!!!

Actually his coaches did not teach him well, as to how to throw his kit, w/o breaking the TV!!! sack them!

ok. One Vikas Bharadwaj or whatever that is.. does not make the character of Sachin Tendulkar. Its your view, you can trumpet it as much as you can. But understand, while abusing we do step over a certain line and there are times when you get exposed to a hostile situation in life very soon. This is a certain reality of life and I am sure your 'karma' will hit you back for your words. I am happy for you for that day.

Well said... And given that Bhajji had practiced his 220 mph deliveries in the recent net session reported by Rediff, that will be a spectacle to watch... :)

Vinay:
If we extend that logic to batsmen who bang their bats in the ground in disgust after getting out, we will see Pantomime in their next batting ventures rather than the real stuff... ;-)

Does his (Ponting's) wife know this??? After all, if Shoaib Akhtar's express delivery finds the right place, she will be most affected...!!!

Good one... It may be applicable to Indian culture. But not for Aussies. They are many_to_many ....
