Why is their ass on fire all of a sudden? Just because some random TV channel will air their "expert" opinions? It is not like Ponting threw the bat at the TV. Read on what happened at cricinfo. Haven't we seen all players being disgusted with themselves of having let go an opportunity?

Wink master Psuedo..was Rickety ponting unhappy that these matches took more than 3 hours against the chest beating that he did against the minnows before the match.

the story is quite relate if you didn't read between the lines. Don't just read..understand it. Rickety made some noise about minnows after the NZ-Kenya match. Obviously he was expecting this to be a walkover. He was not able to score 300 like SL or India and thus got frustrated. He took his helmet and flung it around which hit the LCD and he apologised for his 'unruly' behaviour. Wait for Bangladesh to dish out some 'moch bhaat' to pontya. You will have tough time to keep up with these forums...wink master Psuedo..

More threats... no facts... :) Standard way of Rediff discussions... :)
BTW, if YOU haven't had tough time to keep up with these forums based on the existing facts; what makes you think I will have a tough time on these forums? :)

hehe. That does not matter to pseudo. Any fingers pointed at his masters, he comes fighting like a true solider. One has got to admire that spirit. Again this time he is dead right as it is a tradition and it is 30 in a row. So it does call for huge celebrations which ponting inaugurated. Whats wrong in that ? :-)

who cares about BHOLA. When you are right, one has got to support you man. And i finally understood the tradition part. Hence the support and comments. :-)

When YOU are doing a tremendous job of explaining that no one but an Aussie can throw gear in the dressing room, and THAT is an Aussie tradition, who am I to comment on it? :)

Bhola, gola bambola. I was only trying to help you pseudo. People in rediff has got to understand and learn from you about precious aussie traditions and the occasion. Silly people. :-)

Even in Australia people are fed up of his dances :)Chappell wants him sacked after the world cup. Hussey is just a pre-cursor for Ponting. Good on Greg Chappell :)

Indeed. Considering the tvs and washing machines he is going to break when his team continues the 30 streak. :)

Rightly said... India's chances at world cups will improve significantly when the inspirational leader Ponting departs from the Aussie team... I agree with you... :)

yeah of coz. Indian team also must be cherishing the opportunity to enact this tradition and celebrate in style. All thanks to ponting and then to you for making it so crystal clear. :-)
All cricket associations hereby notified to replace LCD TV with old wooden boxed Phillips TV in all dressing rooms where Australian team is scheduled to visit.
Please place the TVs at height atleast 10 feet from ground.
Further ensure to replace steel chairs/plastic chairs with heavy wooden chair considering that Australia's frustration is expected to grow and by semi-final defeat in the hand of India may result in many casualties.
In view of the above, all care-taker staff of dressing rooms are immidiately instructed to get their head, face etc insured at association's cost.

Om Shanti:
;-).. considering that for the first time in human history has a batsman flung his gear in the dressing room, your comments are really to-the-point.. :)

Thankfully, Kalmadi was not in charge of acquiring TVs...otherwise they would have been rented at the rate of 400$ a day.
Imagine the furore that would be created by Australian cricket officials, media and public if Indians do the same there. Why is Indian media aloof, and why public silent?

Very True. This shows the passion they carry. I still remember Lance Klusner when came over to take man of the series award in last ceremony of world cup, he had clear disappointment on his face. I have never seen such disappointment on any Indian palyer, they are always satisfied no matter what is their performance.Even if they loose the match, they would carry highest run/catch/boundary prize with an extra smile on face.

:) Let's wait and watch instead of predicting. Same predictions were made before the 2007 WC, before the Champions Trophy, before their 2008 India tour, before the recent England ODI series, and also before the Zimbabwe match... :) If they lose it will be because of poor cricket from them; not because of this "reason for downfall" you've been predicting since about 4 years now... :)
BCCI should send the bill to Australian Cricket Club / ICC / Ponting for cost of replacing LCD TV plus service fee (for the person who cleaned his mess and reinstalled a new TV).
This is precisely what westerners do if non-Whites do this kind of tantrum.

by Uday Kulkarni on Feb 23, 2011 02:23 AM
Hey Remani Kumar; don't blow the incident out of proportion. I am not supporting the behaviour of Ponting but these things happen when you are under severe pressure as Ponting did not hit the TV screen deliberately. He just threw the gear out of sheer frustration and anger at himself by venting the anger and the gear accidently hit the LCD screen of TV and it broke. This could happen with any cricketer under pressure especially when you are defending the record of 3 times continous WC champion in the past. The Australian team management including Ponting immediately apologised and already ordered the replacement and that means he will pay for TV replacement but there is no need to bring racial issue here. It happens dude when under pressure.

You can't take shelter of pressure.Ponting was runout on his own.Tendulkar was runout coz of Sehwag who said sorry also but Tendulkar said it's part of game & he was happy. Why Tendulkar was not under pressure for several reasons?Ponting should be ashamed for his rude behaviour & strict warning should be given by ICC.

sachin was not runout because of sehwag's fault, it was sachin's own fault as sehwag was watching the ball so why he had to run when sehwag neither respond not looked at him.please don't be a blind fan of sachin
Be it the CWG or take it to this ICC world cup, India has always been in the news for stamping their supremacy as "POOR ORGANIZERS".
What is home advantage? Here is the thing: the overseas (ENG/AUS/SA) players who come from STATE_OF_THE_ART facilities cannot sustain the long tournament which could prove decisive for Team India.
Ponting with his blocked mind has already broken a TV set in the dressing room claiming it is not working. We all know the actual reasons of his act. Ponting cannot digest failure. Thinks he is immune to his acts. WELL, HE WILL NOT BE IMMUNE TO INDIAN STATE_OF_THE_ART FACILITIES!!!
