In the ensuing national games,Gujarat the so called economically progressed state is the lowest ranked with just 2 bronze medals out of total 775 medals declared.Even Tripula,Meghalaya,Arunachal, etc are ahead of Gujarat. It reflects very poor human development indices for the state.Mr.Modi should reflect upon.

Wow..Man you make a good point. gujarat is nowhere to be seen in this list. I am surprised to see Maniput and Kerala towards the top of the list...whereas Punjab and haryana are below these states.

Is there still anyone who doubts his technique??
by True Indian on Feb 20, 2011 05:34 AM  | Hide replies

He got a much better technique than Dravid or Tendu. He can score off even good balls and thats the real definition of technically sound batsman. Dravid and tendu wait for bad balls and often ends up on poor runrate

dravid played so many one day match because there were no alternative. in fact he played for himself then for country and people. if dravid was in AUs, he wouldn't not have played single one day match

sehwag has to reconcile himself for the next match because he is the one like don bradman now who can hard hit any good length delivery also to 4 or 6 like clive lloyd used to hit using foot work so there is lot of improvement for foot work because the foot work is poor

And club level players like dhoni, raina, yuvi, bhajji, nehra , praveen etc could have never made to australian team after 20 consecutive failures.
Dravid, laxman, sachin could always make with aus team as no one in Aus cricket plays regional politics like dhoni.

yes he is better than tendu/dravid/laxman provided pitch is flat & opposition is Bangladesh.
But on SA/AUS/Eng pitches no where near sachin/dravid/laxman

Where are the doomsayers?
by Unfriendly on Feb 20, 2011 05:19 AM

Before the World Cup started, many (with Indian names, on this forum) said that Bangladesh would beat India again & India would not reach next round. Where are those people? I had challenged them to show their faces in the event Bangladesh lost. What happened that India not only beat Bangladesh, it beat the shit out of them.

BOWLING OPTIONS
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Feb 20, 2011 03:49 AM  | Hide replies

I am always critical ofAshish and Sreenath - yes they can bowl at times Excellently - but in general they give away too many runs .In these burial grounds called pitches in Asian Countries - may be it makes sense to have two spinners rather than three pacers - of the calibre we have . Agression in cricket is not through mouth and facial expressions - if they think that is aggression - they go and join film Industry . Actions speak a lot -so keep them under ice . Also the way Sachin got out is to say the least ridiculous - particularly after so many innings togehter. If Virat keeps his head in the right place he is the future -as of date there is no other player in the team who can rotate strike so easily .Good luck to him and the best of luck for India for more talented and tough opposition.
