Sreesanth is a much hyped bowler and is appreciated only in Kerala. Even commentator was telling yesterday that he had no clue how to bowl to left handed batsmen. He could have come up very well if he had behaved properly. Gone or the days of Javed Miandad and others who had game and arrogance together.

Why
by Ramdas Nayak on Feb 20, 2011 10:22 AM  | Hide replies

this Harbhajan is still in playing eleven when he can not take wickets? His bowling was pathetic yesterday. He consistently bowls round the stump which enables the batsmen to play his balls comfortably. Piyush Chawla is definitely a good bet for India. India should play two spinners -Chawla and Ashwin by dropping Sreeshanth who makes only face but nothing brings out in his bowling. Good for horror movies.

Who bowled well yesterday??

I guess soulless Munaf was lucky to be spared....

Ashwin is better than Chawla..he had more variations than chawla.

Sehwag and Kohili big deal!
by abdul shakib on Feb 20, 2011 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

Its a big deal batting on pitches like that and scoring against Minnows.
Give credit to ZAHEER & MUNAF... s.i.ck Indian Media. What if Tamim Iqbal wz in sub lime form.. would have been a repeat of 2007 World cup

Why do you bring religion here fanatic? We have regards for Zaheer and Munaf. They will not be like Azhar who betrayed India when caught and played relgious card. Why don't you appreciate Shewag and Kholi?

Dhoni's cheap politics in that one sreesanth over
by Rajan S on Feb 20, 2011 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

Yesterday i was disappointed with dhoni's biased approach. It is a well known thing that dhoni is playing some politics inside the team. And when sree was taken for some 20 odd runs in one over, dhoni could have gone to sreesanth and had a talk with him and could have tried to slow the game a bit. Then sree may have conceded one or two runs of the last two balls. But instead sreesanth was seen all alone and that is not the sign of a good captain or a good team spirit. I think dhoni was having two calculations in mind. One is that he could easily exclude sreesant from his scheme of things in this world cup and the second reason one seems to be the most disastrous one. He was showing the arrogance of a 370 run cushion. He knew that even he plays a trick of ousting sreesanth and even if that cost some 8 or 10 runs to the team, that won't cost us a win. But he forgot or wanted to forget the logic of needing a higher net run rate.So the way dhoni led in that single sree over, clearly shows that he is not 100% committed captain

Your low mentality is reflected in your comments. Dhoni will not talk to anyone unless the situation demands. He gives a free hand to his bowlers and that is why he is called a cool captain. When Srisanth was bowling we had already 370 runs and it was the begining of BDesh inning.

Lakshmi Rai ia the prob
by cp on Feb 20, 2011 10:14 AM  | Hide replies

Common guShewag, you're a senior member in the team and you don't have to please Dhoni by giving this statement. Our guys are taking personal life to cricket. This is all because Mr. Dhoni use to date Lakshmi Rai and later our hero SreeSath took charge of her. Dhoni don't want Laskhmi Rai with SreeSath and they have big issues going on .. Just taking revenage by sliding Sreesanth... The other day Dhoni given statement 'Don't irritate your own team '. Common give a break to all this and play some real cricket.. Millions of people dreaming worldcup this time. please.
