bcci should fix an upper limit above that no advetiser should be given an entry.and also to keep biding system so that bcci will not lose any revenue and there will be less of advertisment.

In a recent india aus match
Gavaskar and Manjrekar started praising dhoni when he was batting even though he batted poorly and then they said is great runner and suddenly dhoni was out, they didn't know what to speak. These guys praise alot for no reason and speak alot when they need to.Invariantly some of what they speak is garbage.I think these guys are paid by bcci to praise the players. For every batsmen they use "great performer" "great competiter". I feel DD hindi commentary is more enjoyable as there is comedy aspect there and comentaters fight with each other.

Ravi Shastri uses the same words "application" and "body language" to favor whichever side is winning at that point. I find particularly the Indian commentators thinking too much about their own career when its time to criticize a popular player. The game has changed, but these commentators somehow cannot forget their own days. I think its high time a crop of recently retired cricketers like Steve Waugh, Kumble, Ganguly, Gilchrist, Lara etc take over the commentary job.
Nowadays it is an ordeal to watch Cricket due to these stupid advertisements which totally spoil the pleasure. Why doesn't BCCI formulate some sensible policy? Ads are necessary since they pay for you and me to enjoy cricket. But they are going for the overkill.Let them learn from English and Australian channels. The same repeated Ads also bore us and people should not buy their products. Pawar should take some time out to sort out this Ads problem before the World Cup commences.
ADs taking the charm out of watching cricket. If you all remember watching the football world cup was such fun as there were no stupid ads to interrupt.

Most exciting commentator is Bill Lawry...check out his audio clips on youtube and the best technical commentator is Ian Chappell

Ravi Shastri is totally monotonous since he began his commentary career in 1993.
Best Indian commentator is Sanjay Manjrekar. He is brilliant with his views. Harsha Bhogle, Gavaskar, Shastri, Arunlal, Sivaramkrishnan etc. etc. they all suck big time.
Initially when ESPNStar was broadcasting d matches...they used to show a replay of the last ball or when a batsman gets out...they show atleast 3 to 4 replays till d batsman reaches d pavilion and then show his scorecard before telcasting d ads......also...we can see which bowler standing in his run up for after d ad is over
But these Neo and Ten sports will immediately start d ad when after d last ball or when someone gets out....we dnt even knw who got out before we see an ad...also an ad will interrupted by d 1st ball...or at times after d 1st ball has been bowled...Now in IPL...we get ads even between 2 balls in a single over....
Take a standard EPL match for eg...We have an 3 minute ad just after d preview by d pundit and before d start of d match....then after half time...another 5 minute break followed by half time review by hosts...then another 5 minute ad break before d start of d match... Even if d match has a temporary interruption or if any player is injured...they dnt rush to show d ads like our Neo or SET MAX.....
DOES THIS MEAN THAT FOOTBALL IS EARNING LESS THAN CRICKET????NO??? Its just d money minded broadcasters who're trying to milk the indian public....

Comparison with Europe: The main money is made by subscription fees paid by customers. e.g. Sky Sports in the UK costs around ?40 a month as you have to take a Satellite subscription then pay for the sports channels on top of that. Add ?10 for High Definition. That makes it around INR 43,500 per year to get just the basic channels sports in HD.
This fee allows the broadcasters to focus on the broadcast quality. And part of the reason people pay is the superb quality of transmission.
Again, Sky cricket coverage in the UK is a joy to watch. It isn’t blighted by the ad-mania we get to see in India.
This model of course can’t work in India, and no authority has an incentive to curb this reckless advertising. So we are stuck with it.
