by Chandra Paul on Feb 09, 2011 05:58 PM

Once gain Rediff proved itself by having misleading and wrong titles for articles. its clear from B.S.Bedi comments that its upto Ganguly to decide and good luck for him.

ganguly is still a potential cricketer
by harinath on Feb 09, 2011 05:53 PM

I think what Bedi is saying is ridiculous just like those franchisees who select dravid, laxman and gilchrist but not ganguly he was potential scorer for KKR last season and I think KKR with out Ganguly has no charm and ganguly should not accept the offer of mentor for KKR after the snub they have given to him.

ganguly
by sunny chandra on Feb 09, 2011 05:34 PM

It is indeed hypocracy on part of a lot of people particularly Mr Bedi that he knows very well of what Dada is capable of and is not a fool to understand that even today he has capabilities to perform at the highest level, why do they still continue to torment and humilate him.
Every body knows that he is out for non cricketing reasons.
I would at any time for my money pay to see him more than the likes of dravid, laxman gillchrist warne.
Why does'nt mr Bedi give advice to these named cricketers to retire?
why does he only save it for Ganguly?

Mr Baddy,
What is your problem?
Why are you always against Ganguly?
You like other foreigners can not stand his guts and are jealous of his capabilities.
His performance in this most recent format of game ipl was commendable We as fans were highly entertained his presence performance and contribution is wonderful and heart warming and we would love to see him continue and entertain us It is paisa vasool for us.
I have always though and am now convinced that whenever you speak of him ,the air around you always stinks because you do not speak from your mouth.

He'd have retired with Dignity
by Preet on Feb 09, 2011 05:14 PM

With All due respect to Mr Saurav Ganguly's Cricketing Prowess, Captaincy Intelligence, Leadership Skills, Aggressiveness, he should have retired before 2 years with Dignity. He is allowing world to make fun of himself by not accepting the Reality. Sooner will be Better.....

Ganguly should stay, no retirement.......
by Debjani Ghosh on Feb 09, 2011 04:54 PM  | Hide replies

Dear friends,

One thing i cant understand that why you people always wants Ganguly's retirement and who are you people to tell Ganguly for his retirement. If a player think that he is not be able to give his service to the country, then he will automatically call it a day and not by your will/wish. Ganguly has still lots of cricket in himself, just waiting for a chance to prove himself again......We love you Dada..We are with you.....We want you to play in the IPL.....

There is nothing against DADA, we all love you for what you are and what you have done for Team India. There is nothing to prove from his side to anyone....he is a Champion cricketer and no second opinion about it. But honestly it hurts when something like this(non-selection by IPL franchise) happen to our star cricketer. He should have expected these things much before and should have planned against it.. we all love you...

if he has so much cricket in himself then why don't he play ranji for bengal infact he should coach the team & try to improve its standard. He must release the bengal & kolkatta 's standard of cricketing is even not equal to mumbai's college cricket where everyyear young guys of 13/14 are making playing records. but there is cricket or not in ganguly is matter of analysis but one point is confirm he has so much hunger to earn money by IPL by harrasing IPL teams with the support of morcha lover bengalis

The fact is neither country wants him nor the IPL, so automatically he should call it a day. He has lots of cricket left in terms of gally cricket.
Jokes apart, he was an excellent cricketer and captain, which he not now. Everyone understands it except he himself and his Bongolo die-hard fans

BEDI IS RIGHT
by Rajdeep Singh on Feb 09, 2011 04:47 PM  | Hide replies

Bedi Sir has rightly said that Sourav should retire from all forms of cricket. He is a genius cricketer and have served India with his great ability. No one can take his place. He will remain best ever Indian captain. He should not wait for IPL franchises to select him in the team. He is above than all. Shahrukh Khan has hurted his feelings by not selecting him in KKR team. KKR will now loss all the matches because other IPL teams are far better than KKR. Shahrukh will have to include him in the team. I once again salute him for his great work done for the sake of Indian cricket. He is far better than Sachin.

Isn't is unfortunate that a Bollywood actor decides when a cricketer of Ganguly's caliber hangs up his boots?

Bedi has spoken something sensible. Normally just raves & rants and makes irrelevant observations.

Sample this -

Bedi's wife to him: Let's go Shoping.

Bedi: Pls go alone, I'm shit bored of shopping.

His wife arrives many hours later, loaded with shopped goods. She literally shoves a dress in his hands & asks him, "How's it?"

Bedi: Nice softwear.....
